bunomatic Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 BS. Say what you want about Rivet, but if he was in there h would have killed that guy instead of trying to play the puck. Bad D. Swamp, Miller was asleep on most of those goals tonight. I'm not the only one to post that and you can call b.s. but i'll stand by my assessment, he had a bad game.
Doohicksie Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 We out shot them? That's a surprise. Pittsburg looked the better team by far. Much more physical team Easy to be physical when the referees eat their whistles while you're mauling the other side.
kishoph Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Miller singlehandedly lost this game. Sabres needed this game badly, and he ###### blew it. Just like he choked in the playoffs last year. And so the fall down the standings continues... I wouldn't blame the game on MILLER, they got 2 cheap goals off of skates and that last one MYERS has to take the man.
deluca67 Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Miller singlehandedly lost this game. Sabres needed this game badly, and he ###### blew it. Just like he choked in the playoffs last year. And so the fall down the standings continues... This game was lost in the off-season when the GM decided not add talent to the roster. This team is not capable of beating a team like the Pens especially considering the roll they are on. Sabre forwards had the puck on their sticks for multiple point blank chances and they either flubbed the pass, shot wide or shot in to the goalies crest. It's the same old story. The Sabres can't bury their chances when they need them most. They have no clutch scoring. Not to excuse Miller's play but there is a bigger issue here.
darksabre Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 The Penguins fans own the arena today. Did they forget to mention that this was a Buffalo home game? I'm much angrier about this than the game itself. Come the f*ck on Buffalo. When did everyone jump on the Pens bandwagon?

Can't keep blaming the off-season. This is the team. And Miller is excepted to show up and play.
bob_sauve28 Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 So Pommer gets smeared by a borderline hit it's bloody murder, Pommer almost splattered a guys brains and it's how fast the game is. Whatever

Really? I thought he was supposed to be a superstar? Since when do superstars let in 4 goals in one of the biggest games of the season? Fleury out played him by a large margin.

Really? why is he never at fault? He is supposed to keep the puck out of the net, right? That is his sole job isn't it?
deluca67 Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 blah blah blah. Can't keep blaming the off-season. This is the team. And Miller is excepted to show up and play. "The team" is the product of the off-season. Miller is a good goalie. He's not Hasek. This team is built to try to keep games close enough to let Miller steal games. It's a formula that has failed time and time again. Until that formula is changed this team will never be a contender.

CallawaySabres Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 AWESOME interview with Weber. He automatically goes from the doghouse to the penthouse in my book. I look forward to his toughness and attitude for a while...
Stoner Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Why does Rick sometimes talk about so many minutes left in "regulation time"? I know what it means, I just find it a useless expression.

Well wasn't that the same formula when Hasek was here and they went to the cup? Isn't Miller supposed to be Hasek's replacement? The formula failed back then and now it is missing the key ingredient...a superstar goaltender. I just pray the team is sold sometime soon.
donteatyellowsnow Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 If the goalies were reversed do you think the outcome would be different? yes, miller would have lost by more

You are correct, they are using the same formula they used when Hasek was here. How many Cups did they win? I'll say it again, Miller is nowhere near the level of goalie Hasek was. There is only one goalie playing today that is and he plays in New Jersey. Hasek was the best player in the world when he played for the Sabres. Miller is not that goalie and I don;t see any posters here that say he is. The failure is with the front office for trying to pretend Miller is.
deluca67 Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 yes, miller would have lost by more
BuffaloFansR_Crazy Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 If the goalies were reversed do you think the outcome would be different? YES!! Fleury stood on his head the first period (although you can view that as a failure of the Sabres to finish). Fleury would npt have let is those same 4 goals.

But too many times from different people, I have heard them say Miller is the best goalie in the world. but hey everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

The Sabres had more than enough chances to tie the game and the puck never made it on net.

I'm not the only one to post that and you can call b.s. but i'll stand by my assessment, he had a bad game. I agree, just not the goal when said that. Myers was playing grab ass with the puck when he should have been killing the guy in front of the net. With officiating like that, I don't see the Pens losing until after the Winter Classic.
donteatyellowsnow Posted December 12, 2010 Report Posted December 12, 2010 Do you think Pens fans are happy with the two he did let in? The Sabres had more than enough chances to tie the game and the puck never made it on net. Buffalo had 36 sog. Pitt had 23.
