ThePebble19 Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Miller's record in the new leg pads this year including pre-season is 4-0, stopping 83 of 84 shots. He used the new pads in the pre-season, but then switched back to his old leg pads for opening night at Ottawa. He then started using the new ones again vs. Columbus the other night.
Weave Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 The new pads probably just needed breaking in.
nfreeman Posted December 5, 2010 Report Posted December 5, 2010 Just took a peek at Miller's stats: after a lousy start to the season, he's at 2.26 GAA and .922 SV%. Last year, when he won the Vezina, MVP of the Olympics, etc., he was at 2.22 GAA and .929 SV%. 2 straight shutouts definitely helps. If he can stay healthy, and if enough members of the GD top 6 can keep heads out of rectums, this team might just put it together and not end up with an embarrassing year.

Thomas will have to go into major meltdown to throw away the Vezina this year.
Knightrider Posted December 6, 2010 Report Posted December 6, 2010 Last year there was no standout goalie with fantastic stats like Thomas has been accumulating this year. Thomas will have to go into major meltdown to throw away the Vezina this year. Nope... That would never happen.
