Oakstream Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Well the team has picked up their play after that horrible start. But looking at the standings, we're really not any better. We are currently 11th with 21 points in 25 games. But, behind us by only one point is Florida, who has three games in hand (and have allowed 16 goals fewer than Buffalo!). And trailing only by two points is Toronto, with three games in hand. New Jersey is only three points behind and one game in hand. And six points after Buffalo, and last in the conference, is Islanders. BUT, they have three games in hand.. So if the teams behind us would win every game in hand (not that they will, but still), we could be tied for 14th in the conference.. Right now we are five points out of playoffs, trailing Boston (who has three games in hand). So, five, possibly more points out of the playoffs, and 6, possibly one point from 15th after 25 games. So what needs to be done here? Cause Im getting worried.. Will the team pick it self up and get in the playoffs? The points for playoffs isn't easier to get as the season progress. A trade? For who? Darcy has not traded for a impact player in 7 years (Drury).. I would probably give this team december to find its game. If things are not better by then, trade!! If it's not too late..
Weave Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 I expect we'll be sellers, not buyers, come trade time. Yep, this season will probably get worse by the end.
