Sterling Archer Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWR36Y7ccjk&feature=player_embedded#! I lol'd. Timmy takes a cheap shot at some dude then gets his gums knocked in by the goalie.
inkman Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 I don't really understand the vitriol for Tim Kennedy. I feel kinda bad for him.
darksabre Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 This is already being discussed in another thread. Also, you know what was mighty? My dinner on Friday. Tim Kennedy was never "mighty".
Sterling Archer Posted November 22, 2010 Author Report Posted November 22, 2010 This is already being discussed in another thread. Also, you know what was mighty? My dinner on Friday. Tim Kennedy was never "mighty". A bit tongue and cheek. And feeling sorry for Tim Kennedy is like feeling bad for Charlie Manson or Dubya. They made their beds. They get to sleep in em.
Stoner Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 A bit tongue and cheek. And feeling sorry for Tim Kennedy is like feeling bad for Charlie Manson or Dubya. They made their beds. They get to sleep in em. He didn't make his own bed. He was murdered in his own bed. Didn't really matter if he accepted the Sabres' offer. There was no room for him. Right? Gerbe and The Niedermayer™ Brand made him expendable. There's no way Kennedy could have helped this team, which won its division last season.
bunomatic Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 Oh how the mighty 'mites' have fallen. Unfortunately Kennedy wasn't considered Mighty by many. Just a promising prospect who may or may not have made his mark. It looked like that goalie was trying to put Kennedys tooth back in for him.
SwampD Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 I'm I the only one who doesn't think that was a cheap shot by Kennedy?
wjag Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 I'm I the only one who doesn't think that was a cheap shot by Kennedy? I think Brust thought it was a cheap shot.
SwampD Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 I think Brust thought it was a cheap shot. It was definitely a cheap shot by Brust. A pretty good one at that.
JKB1646 Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 I'm I the only one who doesn't think that was a cheap shot by Kennedy? I didn't think it was cheap by Kennedy at all. The other player turned his back at the last second.
Sterling Archer Posted November 22, 2010 Author Report Posted November 22, 2010 I thought it was a cheap shot. Read the OP. Even Kennedy knew he was getting it. Should get suspended.
SwampD Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 I didn't think it was cheap by Kennedy at all. The other player turned his back at the last second. That's how I saw it as well. He made the move like he was going to skate the puck behind the net. Timmy hit him exactly where every single hockey player alive would have hit him to knock him off the puck. He just tried to change direction at that very moment. I thought it was a cheap shot. Read the OP. Even Kennedy knew he was getting it. Should get suspended. no.
X. Benedict Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 I don't really understand the vitriol for Tim Kennedy. I feel kinda bad for him. I thought he gambled and lost. But here's an interesting thought: He's making more coin as he plays in the AHL this year than he made in the NHL last year. (at least I think this is true?)
wonderbread Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 I thought he gambled and lost. But here's an interesting thought: He's making more coin as he plays in the AHL this year than he made in the NHL last year. (at least I think this is true?) Interesting fact. That furthers my opinion that it was more than the jingle.

I still say the Sabres aren't a worse team if he is on them this year.
Robviously Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 What a jerk for going to arbitration, eh? I still say the Sabres aren't a worse team if he is on them this year. But but but...then we wouldn't have Rob Niedermeyer on the team! <_<
TheChimp Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 He'd easily have more success right now than Gerbe is having. Talk about a disappointment.
apuszczalowski Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 What a jerk for going to arbitration, eh? I still say the Sabres aren't a worse team if he is on them this year. May be true but they also wouldn't be any better. If he was from anywhere else but Buffalo, it would never have been a big deal, but because it was his hometown team that did this, it ruffled alot of feathers with teh media (looking for controversy/a story and fans

If they aren't going to get a real star to make the team better, then I would rather see Kennedy out there fighting for the team than a marginal over-the-hiller.
inkman Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 He'd easily have more success right now than Gerbe is having. Talk about a disappointment. I've never had very high expectations of him.

I'm really tired of the whole "Home Town Hero" cliche. It's a joke. TK isn't Marky Mark and this isn't Philly. I'd much rather pay Scott's brother $1m than pay a guy who can't crack the Rangers' line up $1m. I mean, the cap hit for Kennedy is so unbelievably negligible at this point. We are still a few million under the cap and management is doing nothing to bring in better players. Still doesn't give them carte blanche to just gift some toothless local boy a roster spot. It's called nepotism and I won't have it. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to call my mom to see when my job interview is.

X. Benedict Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 But but but...then we wouldn't have Rob Niedermeyer on the team! <_< Bad knee since training camp, surgery today. I hope that was the problem. He hasn't looked good. I've liked his play in the past.
Stoner Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 Marky Mark is from Boston and good luck on your interview. Do you like apples?
Sterling Archer Posted November 23, 2010 Author Report Posted November 23, 2010 Marky Mark is from Boston and good luck on your interview. That part was more about the movie Invincible. I shall include links with my pop culture references from now on. Did you catch the irony part at the end?
