bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 I am coming to town for the weekend 19th and 20th and was wondering how hard it is to get tickets. More than likely will go to game saturday but still lts of plans in the air. What is the best last minute way to get tickets 2- 4? Are there alot of folks selling outside and if so is there a general area. This is my first game at HSBC so forgive my questions.

Scalpers are everywhere, especially by the parking lots or metro train.
SwampD Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 Scalpers are everywhere, especially by the parking lots or metro train. Just make sure you learn your sections if you care where you sit. Whenever you ask them where the seats are they always just say "Blue line." They're not lying, of course, they just meant the entire blue line.
spndnchz Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 One other thing. Make sure the ticket is real. If it's a season ticket (with picture on it) it should have a top edge that looks like it was torn from a book, because it was. Last game I was at the guys in front of us in line had one real ticket and one forgery. Which brings me to a nice thing about the ticket office. They got the guy a seat. Same went for the last Habs game. Like 6 guys showed up from Montreal with the wrong tix. They had tix for the Nov game, not the Oct game. (you know they're all hicks there). Ticket office set 'em up.

Not exactly last minute, but if you figure it out before arriving, you can e-mail this guys... sabres@primerow.com his name is Chris. I don't ask questions but he's like the Sabres ticket office lol... he's got tix in 100s, 300s and always under window price.

I bought them through ebay but the guy just wanted to meet in person because he kept insisting he didn't want the tickets to get lost, so we met up in Henrietta (he lived closer to Buffalo) but when i arrived at HSBC Arena, the tickets turned out to be fakes. Here i was, this 24yo hot shot trying to impress my girl and her friend... total embarrassing. We went to the customer service room and i told them the whole story. They kept saying sorry but i was like no its my fault and i just asked to buy new tickets. The guy was super cool, and gave us 3 free tickets in the 300s. The original tix were 100s but i honestly didn't want to pay for 6 tix lol i would have if i needed to, but, very cool, something i won't forget til i die.

For all of you unethical folks out there - don't read this thread.

PromoTheRobot Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Prices on StubHub are pretty depressed. Often you can get tickets at below box office, even with the fees included. Just have to shop. PTR
jwdilly Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 I actually have two tickets that I am trying to sell. I have to go to my girlfriends moms suprise 50th birthday party instead. I split season tickets with another guy so they are not fakes. They are in section 116 row 12. I'm asking $150 if interested. Send me a message if you are.

While we're at it, sec. 114, row 18, NIGHT BEFORE TURKEY DAY against the Pens, 140 for the pair if you get to me before stubhub sells 'em. (They are listed on stubhub for 220, but (a) I like this board and (b) I hate stubhub.)
