wonderbread Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Forgot to ask. Does anyone know when calls go to Toronto, versus being decided in the replay booth in the arena? From what I understand every goal is reviewed. For scoring as well as determining if it is a legal goal. as you so eloquently stated who knows what the rules are anymore. Tomato tomatoe let's call the whole thing off!

Yeah, but I'm wondering how they decide which calls go to Toronto. Or do they all?
wonderbread Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Yeah, but I'm wondering how they decide which calls go to Toronto. Or do they all? I should have stated every goal is reviewed in Toronto as I believe that to be the case.
Eleven Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 I should have stated every goal is reviewed in Toronto as I believe that to be the case. I will be there--in the goal review room--in March. I cannot wait. And I will report back.
Stoner Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 I will be there--in the goal review room--in March. I cannot wait. And I will report back. You cereal?
Eleven Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 You cereal? No, that's someone else. But I am serious. I think the date is March 12. It's before a Sabres-Leafs game in TO.
Stoner Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 No, that's someone else. But I am serious. I think the date is March 12. It's before a Sabres-Leafs game in TO. You just going to drop that tidbit and not give details? You're not in the mood?! You get in the mood!
Eleven Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 You just going to drop that tidbit and not give details? You're not in the mood?! You get in the mood! I don't have any details yet--I haven't been there yet! But I bought a guided tour of the review room (together with game tix and hall of fame passes) at a charity auction. It was supposed to be the day of the Leafs game a couple of weeks ago, but the guy who is providing the tour was (seriously) ill. So now it's March.

Eleven Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 You won't see the room in action though? Unless there's a Saturday afternoon game, I do not believe I will see the room in action. It will be cool enough just to be in there, though.
Patty16 Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 The shootout is not hockey, it's a skill competition. Pommer does not create offense by carrying the puck into shooting positions, he awaits the one timer. Where are all those effective wrist shots in regulation? One trick pony. As good as he was in shootiouts last year, he hasn't been involved in a shoot out yet this year has he? I think he was invovled in one where he sailed it high and wide.
nobody Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Unless there's a Saturday afternoon game, I do not believe I will see the room in action. It will be cool enough just to be in there, though. Habs at Pens 2pm.
Eleven Posted November 19, 2010 Report Posted November 19, 2010 Habs at Pens 2pm. Wow, I've gotta find a way to see this in action.
nobody Posted November 20, 2010 Report Posted November 20, 2010 Wow, I've gotta find a way to see this in action. Hopefully you get to see if they use a Loonie or a Twonie to decide if the goal is good or not.
