bunomatic Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 They haven't changed and still don't understand the game. The only one worse is Brickhead in Boston. Man you know it. Listening to the Bruins games is pure unadulterated torture. They are the worst in the league in my books.
Eleven Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 All right, boys, eleven minutes left. Make me proud.
ROC Sabres Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 All right, boys, eleven minutes left. Make me proud. Get me to OT!!!
Iron Crotch Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Teeing off on the powerplay, but no cigar... yet.
ThePebble19 Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Sounds like they are getting some chances...just can't cash in.
Eleven Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Nordberg has been kicking ass in the third. He's the difference right now. Frank Drebin would be proud.
Iron Crotch Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 2 1/2 minutes left. C'mon, fellas. We need another overtime!
Buffalo Wings Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 2 1/2 minutes left. C'mon, fellas. We need another overtime! As flat as they looked in the first, they're looking that much better now. I like the sense of urgency they're playing with.
Eleven Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Seven seconds. Dammit, if they hadn't spotted DC a three goal lead. The way the Sabres have played the last 30 minutes is admirable. The first 20? Not so admirable.
ROC Sabres Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Only about 2 penalties on that shift that weren't called. Gotta keep that home record intact.
Iron Crotch Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Crap. We threw everything we had at them. Just came up a bit short after spotting them a 3 goal lead.
ROC Sabres Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Well Semin has his, "I score, we Win" record enact.
nobody Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Oh well - hard to come back from 3 down.
Eleven Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 That actually was a hell of a shot. Oh well. I didn't expect the Sabres to sweep the Craps this season. I do, though, see a four point weekend coming up. Freaking Nordberg.
kishoph Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Pull MILLER and send out GRIER, great coaching move. The team played hard, but some of these slugs are going to have to start putting the puck in the net. Too bad they don't count the shots that hit the net behind the glass as goals, the CONNELLY line would lead the league.
SwampD Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Pretty GD good game. I wish the Sabres would have played all of it. There is no doubt in my mind they would have won it if they had. Oh, well.
Stoner Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Rick said if Miller had lost his mask, play would have been called immediately. Not necessarily. "When a goalkeeper has lost his helmet and/or face mask and his team has possession of the puck, the play shall be stopped immediately to allow the goalkeeper the opportunity to regain his helmet and/or face mask. When the opposing team has possession of the puck, play shall only be stopped if there is no immediate and impending scoring opportunity. This stoppage of play must be made by the Referee."
CallawaySabres Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 Great effort again especially from down 3-0. If only the craptastic 2nd line could contribute a fragment of scoring, these guys would be on a tear. Good to see the effort as the season progresses.
