nobody Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 If your definition of racist includes statements that don't apply to any particular race then maybe the tea partiers who live in Chimp's world who want to abolish all public schools have a point. Jeeze, patty, where are you coming up with this? I am beginning to think your prior experience with the constitution that makes you such an expert on it was gained in a prison law library rather than a law school. Those prison folk have more time to study it.
korab rules Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 I didn't say I don't care how my taxes are spent. I said that I don't care that they are spent on what the right affectionately calls "entitlements" (no pre-conceived notions in that name in order to incite anger, nope). I like knowing that some of my taxes are going towards helping someone who really needs it. Better there than lining some defense contractors pockets. If you used that phrase as a pop culture reference and not a racist statement then I apologize, but if you think there are no racists out there, and that there aren't people that would use it (even subtly) to get those people to vote and act as a direct result of that racism, then maybe it's your head that is in the sand. Apolgy accepted. I have plenty of reasons to like or dislike people based on the things they do or don't do, say or don't say: I don't need to resort to the color of their skin. As to entitlements(your word, not mine). I have no problem with a hand up. It's the multigenerational hand out that grinds my gears. Come on, you know you can't stand that one guy in your office. He doesn't do ######, but gets paid just as much as you. Doesn't that piss you off? Just think how much more money your company could make if he was pulling his weight. You would probably get a raise!

My point is that just because your porch baby momma comment could apply to white folk makes it insulated from being called racist is without merit. just ask george allen
korab rules Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Right, in a prison. My point is that just because your porch baby momma comment could apply to white folk makes it insulated from being called racist is without merit. just ask george allen People can and do call just about anything racist, but that doesn't make it so. I am not interested in self censorship. I prefer to call a heart a heart.

Patty16 Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 AND YES IT'S A FRIGGIN' JOKE!!! haha king kong. no hard feelings.

TheChimp Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Of course it strikes a nerve - its the accusation no one wants leveled at them - its the accusation that can't be dis-proven - which is why its the favorite tool of those who can't think of something more clever to say. And shall we revisit the attacks on MY character and sanity and education level that fit that description? Nah, let's not. ;)

I'll drink to that! haha king kong. no hard feelings. So, do we all hug now or something? I never would have believed that a political discussion could be conducted in civil tones without someone getting all worked up and announcing they are quitting the board, 3 members getting banned and racial allegations. Well, 2 out of 3 aren't bad!

No, you're not a racist. Not at all.
korab rules Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 And shall we revisit the attacks on MY character and sanity and education level that fit that description? Nah, let's not. ;) Don't forget the attack on your DNA, too.
TheChimp Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Don't forget the attack on your DNA, too. Um, OK, let's not forget that. So, you're finally admitting that you're making the very same type of incendiary and baseless insinuations that you just condemned above, then? Is that what I'm seeing? Or am I just a dumb ###### now? I know you want to call me that, come on, big fella, just let it out. But in any case, regardless of what the dupes wanna do to spin this, their choices won, and they made alot of promises to get themselves elected by the dupes, so let's all pay very close attention to what they actually TRY to get accomplished. Let's be careful to distinguish between the things that they really DO try to get pushed thru and the lefties block, and the things that they promised their followers that they would do (create jobs, balance the budget) that they simply don't even bother to address now that they have power. (As they spend 100% of their energy trying to impeach President Obama for being born in Hawaii). EDIT: The filter ruined my post. Drat! Think of the racist depiction of folks on their front porches, and then my screen name...
darksabre Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Y'all are a bunch of porch m*nkeys. It's okay, we're taking it back.

I don't know if you are black, white, purple, green or blue, but I would just note that the comments directed your way by several posters were based on what you said.

MattPie Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 On a side note to this, we always hear this "entitlement" talk when the elections are around. In my lifetime, I've paid more and less taxes under a R government. I've paid more and less taxes under a D government. It is amazing to me just how many words are used up arguing over a couple of hundred dollar swing each way. I just don't care about "entitlements". Exactly. If stumping up a couple hundred bucks a year means everyone gets healthcare, I'm all for it. I have a tough time wrapping my head around the opposite stance. And there are always abusers of every system: welfare, food stamps, hockey teams, etc. I've known folks on welfare and food stamps, and generally they're decent people having a bad run. I'm fine with letting the 10% of abusers skate if the other 90% get the help they need. Sure, I'd like to cut the 10% off, but there's always a loophole or a way to game the system.
TheChimp Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 It's funny. I am a diehard fence sitter, and my real belief about American politics can be summed up like this: The Dems look at you and say, "We like the rich more than we like the poor, they give us more stuff to play with, and all we have to do is vote for things that help them get richer. But hey, we see you're suffering, so here, have some nice gruel." And the Republicans say, "###### that, this is good gruel. My chihuahua is hungry. Die. Wait, clean my pool first, then die."

Its really hard to grasp how rampant the abuse is unless you have been involved in the system in some capacity. I think Patty acknowledged this.

Sabre Dance Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 All I can think of is that if the millions of $$$ that were spent on campaigning were spent to improve health care, etc. we all would be much better off. Fire everyone in government. Let the people rule by internet voting. It's only a matter of months before the spaceships show up, anyway.....
TheChimp Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Nope, it was me. Not even sure what you're talking about. Is it that you think you "bested" me in this "debate"? Is that it? If so, awesome, I concede defeat. The truth is, unless guys like korab and nfreeman are billionaires, they are on the same losing side of all this American Corporatism as I am, and will suffer in the exact same way I will. And one day it will be simply impossible for them to defend the people they are defending, and I will welcome them back to the fold of the working class Americans, if only that we all die together in the streets while the fatcats we all helped into power fly overhead in their Leer jets and dump their trash on our heads.
