Sabres vs Bills!

I said this before and I believe it to be true. The Sabres are just as far from being a true Championship contender as the Bills are right now. The Bills maybe actually closer. The first step towards building a Champion is admitting a change is needed. The Bills were in a middle of yet another 7-9 season and decided it wasn't good enough. They made some drastic changes. The Sabres on the other hand are going to live and die with this same core of players for this season and seasons to come. The Sabres are unwilling to take strides forward. The Bills seemingly have a better understanding of the path ahead of them. The Bills are willing these days to openly admit their faults and are willing to do what they can to get it done. This isn't an endorsement for Nix/Gailey. I don't know if they can get it done. They do seem to know the path. Regier and Ruff are lost and refuse to admit their path is going nowhere.

I agree with the notion that the first step to making changes is admitting that change is needed. I just can't help thinking that Larry Quinn is the obstacle to any real change. While I don't know the dynamics of the relationship between LQ, Darcy and Golisano, it seems to me that LQ's the one who green-lights major decisions.

Game is tied at 0-0 with seconds left when Fitz throws a long pass that slips past Miller's glove hand into the hands of Lee Evans in the end zone. But Evans is called for offensive pass interference. The Sabres go on the power play...

We all know how this ends. They end up giving up the shorty and its all Ruff's fault.

During the Sabres pre-season (when the NFL was just a few weeks in) I thought the Sabres would win The Cup before the Bills even sniffed the playoffs. However, while the Bills are going through growing pains, they seem to be headed in the right direction. There is alot to purge there, but they at least have a plan. As for the Sabres, we seem to be watching the same season as the last 2 or 3. They are convinced they can win with these guys who apparently enjoy mediocrity.

If Maybin played left wing, he'd be a 25 goal scorer

If Grier played OLB, he'd have 5 sacks

Discuss....

Well, his uncle was part of the Fearsome Foursome and played in 2 Pro Bowls.

Come on, the Bills are an atrocity. The Sabres won their freaking division last year. They're just slumping. Hard.

When they win two in a row, is Lindy going to say, "That was one helluva first-round defeat hangover"?

Actually, it's not a slump, not unless you can slump from mid January through late October.

1500 pesos?

word.

Good, now march on down to Valu and purchase a chainsaw. Take that chainsaw to one of your buddies, preferably that guy who'll do anything when he's drunk, and have him chop both of your hands off.

Then you'll at least have an excuse for contributing nothing to this forum.

Remember to cauterize the wounds, we don't need you bleeding out.

I'd tell you to numb up first with some whiskey but you're probably too inept to act like an adult in a liquor store to avoid getting carded. I know, I know, the teenage years are hard and unfair. Girl, you'll be a woman soon.

Oh, uh...Word.

You might've left it at the tollbooth comment. That was devastating.

BTW, I checked urban dictionary, and it solidly supports my understanding of the correct usage of "word." check it out, bro.

Unless, of course, our young poseur colleague is setting linguistic trends from the french fry station at McDonald's.

Nah, he's using it in the improper context to be ironic. He thinks he's being clever.
