CallawaySabres Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Lindy is going to want this one for the fans so let's just hope the team does too..............5-2 good guys
Derrico Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 I also hate Ottawa. There's already trade talk in Canada's nation's capital and let's give them another reason to continue talking! Let's Go Buffalo. I'm thinking 4-2 good guys.
spndnchz Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 No score predictions here. Just WIN. Montador is going to have a half shield tonight and for a while in the future. The Eager high stick broke his nose (for the second time).
Realist Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 They need to play the entire game like they did against Atlanta.
shrader Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 It's time to start doing to Ottawa what they've done to us for the last 5 years.
eball Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 It's time to start doing to Ottawa what they've done to us for the last 5 years. No need to get pornographic here. It's a family board. ;) 1
thesportsbuff Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Personally, I just can't wait to see how well McCormick matches up with Neil.
bunomatic Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Ottawa sees Buffalo as just what the doctor ordered. Despite their recent ills they come in brimming with confidence about their ability to beat this squad as evidenced by their statements in some of the press. The way the Sabres have played at home I don't blame em but if the boys play like they did in Atlanta they should beat them.
Kristian Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 I think this team owes the fans a complete whoopin' of the Sens on home ice, but I'll settle for 2 points regardless how they come.
inkman Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Personally, I just can't wait to see how well McCormick matches up with Neil. He already had his chance for that, maybe it'll be different.
Eleven Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Can't wait. Roll call time: who's going?
Stoner Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Now that Kevin has apparently learned how to pronounce "Philadelphia," maybe he can work on "Ottawa" and "Hyundai." Seriously, this is as must a win as they get.
mercury Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Seriously, this is as must a win as they get. No. A loss tonight would not eliminate the Sabres. This is a recording.
darksabre Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 No. A loss tonight would not eliminate the Sabres. This is a recording. Yeah but it'll really p*ss me off!
spndnchz Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Brian Elliott starting tonight. He's 8-0. Has a 1.89 GAA .937 SV% and a shutout vs. Sabres :( Although he's 4.62 GAA and .863 SV% this year. :D
korab rules Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 if the boys play like they did in Atlanta they should beat them. No, if Ottawa plays the way Atlanta did, the sabres should win. Don't forget what an awful effort that was by Atlanta, especially by their goaltender.

darksabre Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 Let's not take all the credit away from the Sabres. Two teams played that game. Shut up, the Sabres suck. Get with the program.
Wraith Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 No, if Ottawa plays the way Atlanta did, the sabres should win. Don't forget what an awful effort that was by Atlanta, especially by their goaltender. What exactly was wrong with Atlanta's goaltender? Mason made something like 38 saves and was the third star of the game.
mercury Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 What exactly was wrong with Atlanta's goaltender? He allowed many rebounds. I'm surprised that he wasn't awarded an assist on McCormick's goal.
Derrico Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 What exactly was wrong with Atlanta's goaltender? Mason made something like 38 saves and was the third star of the game. I agree with this point. The team in front of Mason was horrible, but without him I think that game could have been alot more out of hand then what it ended up.

I agree with this point. The team in front of Mason was horrible, but without him I think that game could have been alot more out of hand then what it ended up. I think Mason was wearing his rubber pads. As someone else said, it easily could have been a 7 or 8-1 game, primarily due to the big fat juicy rebounds Mason was leaving everywhere. I will give the sabres their due, they were in position to make plays against Atlanta, but they haven't earned the benefit of the doubt yet. For now it was just a good win over a team that played like absolute crap. They can start to regain my confidence by pounding Ottawa into the ice tonight. I would love to see McCormick and Neil go at it, but Neil has had his chance against Kassian in the preseason and McCormick in the opener and didn't seem to want anything to do with them. He's pretty tough when he gets to take a run against Ennis, though. That's why having one tough guy does not make up for a team full of pansies. Lets see some team toughness tonight. They need to, dare I say, play out of character.
nobody Posted October 22, 2010 Report Posted October 22, 2010 From the BNews: "When you go on the road, the pressure isn't there to perform and be fancy," Rivet said. "When teams play on the road, they play simple hockey, wait for opportunities, wait for the home team to make mistakes." I've been waiting for this excuse. Fans aren't going to complain if the team consistently wins 1-0 or 2-1 at home.
