R_Dudley Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Wow they must practice that with Hossa perfect timing off the bench and pass splitting the D. IMO Myers could have laid out with his stick and possibly knocked that off Hossa, he sure would have done that last year.
Calvin Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 evidently the auditioning for places is over, because we're back to status quo this period
R_Dudley Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 I really like this McCormick, he deserves top line time if Lindy is to be be believed.
Calvin Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 DeLuca.. i'd say McCormick is definitely better than dime-a-dozen, unlike some other forwards we have, what do you think?
inkman Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 How many times can you remember a Sabre just banging away at the puck in front of the net got a goal. Very John LeClaire of him. (not that I'm making the comparison)
Two or less Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Very impressed with Gerbe and Connolly tonight. Also Ennis is flying out there. That trio is giving the Hawks lots of problems. In our own zone, most players are doing a real good job and killing any attacks and closing the Hawks' passing lanes. Finally a team effort. Very disappointed thus far from Myers and Vanek though. I look at them as 2 of the stars of the team and both still are struggling. All in all, there is 20 minutes left and they NEED to play like they did for most of the first 40 if they are going to win this game. If our record was nowhere near what it is now, even a loss here would be a "feel good" loss, but, if they blow this tonight, things will just look very very dark, despite their real good game.
inkman Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 His hockey skills ain't all that bit I'll take 5 McCormicks on my team any day.
Stoner Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 That was quite a save by Lalime with the blocker with a little over a minute left on Sharp. You can't tell me the atmosphere in that building isn't spurring the Sabres on. One of the best buildings in the league. They really have to do something about HSBC Arena.

zow2 Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 It's amazing how much harder this teams plays on the road than at home. We saw it in Ottawa too. They are a bunch of lazy, bumbling, individuals at home...and play just a boring style to match the opponents boring road style. On the road they really are working as a team.
Two or less Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 such as? Only way to get a ruckus crowd at HSBC Arena is lower the prices. Most hardcore fans can't afford the tickets and our season ticket base is at like 14k. Most of those people are people who go in wearing shirts and ties. Our atmosphere for playoffs is one of the best in the league, and many players around the league say so and Bruins said it last year too.
R_Dudley Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Okay one more period make it like the first, mainly in the Chi end.
R_Dudley Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Eyhhhhh, a 3 on 1 and he tries to pass , Kick him in the arse on the bench.
R_Dudley Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Rivet sucks he looked so slow on that play he has no business being out there. This guy has already retired.
SabreInFla Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 How is that piece of garbage Rivet the captain of this team.
CallawaySabres Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 I swear to GOD I hate Rivet more and more every game. If they can't bench him, rip that freakin' C off his heartless chest and give it to someone else...
themaze2332 Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 in typical Buffalo fashion....the finish it always an issue.
SabreInFla Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Rivet has scored twice for the Hawks this period.
R_Dudley Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 No rewards for being close or playing hard for 50 of 60 minutes same sheite different year
wonderbread Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 in typical Buffalo fashion....the finish it always an issue. Its not just Buffalo.
Sterling Archer Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 I was waiting for it. I knew the Sabres were going to crap the bed in the final minutes. And the hawks continue to take liberties with our "stars."
themaze2332 Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Its not just Buffalo. so there is a ANOTHER team who cannot finish what they start? Do tell....
