He had a chance to make a defensive play in his own zone and he looked tentative and then he never did anything, take the shooter or lay down and block the shot. Thats what D-men are supposed to do. I know they have the lead now but it's still a lot of hockey lets see if they can do anything with it.
Calvin Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 that period there really looks like a mini-snapshot of what this season is going to be. some snazzy passing, quick skating, decent finishing, good amount of chances, mixed in with pucks lost between legs, missed rebounds, wobbly stickhandling, defensive frailties and poor zone clearing. we had a dozen shots on goal when the Hawks got their first, and guess what, they scored. we came back to lead it. will the Sabres be able to overcome this rough start to the season by bouncing back in style like this?
