Team Strike Force Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 I'm on Time Warner. I turned the channel and then turned back and my feed improved. Not really sure why that would make a difference but the same thing happened last game. By the way, thanks for the tip. Working better but it's not like watching on VS., that's for sure. I like Ryan Miller. He's good.

SwampD Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Hecht needs to be moved up. He is wasted on that line.
ThePebble19 Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Alright, boys...3rd period. Time to get a couple quick ones and lock it down.
SwampD Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Hecht has been one of our best players so far this year. That's the drum I'm beatin'.
thesportsbuff Posted October 14, 2010 Author Report Posted October 14, 2010 You should have to pass an IQ test to play in the NHL... I swear this team has the worst decision makers in the world.
SwampD Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 You should have to pass an IQ test to play in the NHL... I swear this team has the worst decision makers in the world. Morrison looks rough. McCormick too. We've seen less of both of them in the third.
PromoTheRobot Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Is there some gypsy curse on all Buffalo sports teams? We're getting blanked by a short benched team. PTR
SabresFan526 Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 1 Point at least. It's an improvement over the last 2 games.
SwampD Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 I think we can put a better four guys on the ice than NJ and will win in the OT (no SO). I also think that these are two pretty average teams.
notwoz Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Well, the underacheivers settled for the point. This could be a long season.
SwampD Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 I think we can put a better four guys on the ice than NJ and will win in the OT (no SO). I also think that these are two pretty average teams. oops. There's just no place on the Sabres for a 50 goal scorer.
PromoTheRobot Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Way to show up boys. Nice turnover Sekera. What a sorry effort. PTR
darksabre Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Lack of finish. Connolly and Vanek are worthless.
SabresFan526 Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 That was frustrating. Lousy first period, but the rest of the game was really good. Miller was outstanding. But, you can't lose a puck battle at the end of the game like Sekera did and let the puck go to Kovalchuk on the hash marks. Game over. Frustrating because this is really not a good NJ team, but apparently, this is not a good Buffalo team either. Oh well, on to Wednesday. Got 1 point out of it. Got to move on to Friday and hope for a win against Montreal.
nobody Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 They should take no pride in getting a point.
CallawaySabres Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 I knew they would lose that game after the first period and I was just hoping to get it to OT. Well, I guess I'll take it....unfortunately
thesportsbuff Posted October 14, 2010 Author Report Posted October 14, 2010 Roy is seriously the only player worth having on this team. I'm out of patience with the rest of them. They try to play dump and chase but nobody chases, they try to execute give and go's but nobody goes. Connolly shoots the puck at defenders 3ft in front of him. The whole team has an issue with trying to make no-look passes when there's nobody where they're passing to. Ennis is out of position every shift, probably why he was replaced with Gerbe on Roy's line for the third period. At this rate, whether he gets more phantom assists or not, Ennis is going to find himself in Portland. He has been frustrating. Vanek was invisible, again. Montador can't keep a puck in the zone that slid flat on the ice all the way from the goal line. No hustle from anybody, no brains from anybody. If I'm Darcy Regier I give the team one more game, then I start shipping EVERYBODY out of town for whatever I can get. Time to rebuild. I was one of the most optimistic fans in the off-season, but tonight was the last straw. They were awful, again. Stupid shots, stupid passes, stupid dumps, stupid clears. I can't think of one player besides Roy who has had a positive effect this season. Niedermayer hasn't been bad, and McCormick has mostly done his job, but jesus christ the rest of the team has been god awful.
SabreInFla Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Rivet needs to retire and Sekera should be playing in the ECHL.
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 0 - 3 to start season at home. Lindy needs to kick some arse and settle on a damn lineup

bunomatic Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 outstanding effort in the first. Great way to start the game. Playing a full roster against a team thats using 15 players to stay under the cap and stink the joint out in the first? Could this be a coaching problem?
Two or less Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Love how NJD contain Derek Roy and the rest of the offense has troubles even putting up shots. As someone said, this could be a really long season. I can't believe I am about to say this, but i finally may give in and say it may be time for a new coach. Not saying this is all on coaching, because it isn't, but, this team just comes out flat way too often for too many years, even the year they won the president's trophy they had some horrific games.
