Two or less Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 With Jason Pominville out for a while, it is now time to turn to Nathan Gerbe. We'll see if he has what it takes to be a NHL forward or not. He has to take a bad situation and turn it into something good. I have always doubted that Gerbe could do it at the NHL level, but, after showing well last playoffs and doing well in pre-season, I won't lie, i am interested to see what type of player he will be. Gerbe will now know he's going to in the lineup for several games, not just a fill in for a game when someone has a bad game or a plug in for a spark. He's in, probably in a top 6 role and we'll see what type of player we truly have in Gerbe. Sabres have a tough week ahead. NJD are 0-3 and you know they will come out flying. Then we play Montreal and then going to Chicago. Very tough games.
carpandean Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 Suppose that we'll see Vanek on the right side again? Something like: Ennis-Roy-Vanek Gerbe-TC-Stafford Or will Kaleta get that chance on a top line that Lindy hinted at?

Something like: Ennis-Roy-Vanek Gerbe-TC-Stafford Or will Kaleta get that chance on a top line that Lindy hinted at? I think they have to separate TC and Vanek. Their line has looked awful. Roy-Stafford-Hecht seemed pretty effective last night.

I agree, although I think that it was more just TC that looked terrible. I also agree with this topic, it's time to put up or shut up for Gerbe.
VansTheMans Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 Connolly has been playing horribly so far this season. Put Vanek back with Roy.
