Monty would have prevented the pass if he just kept going to the ice. Instead he tried get up half way and accomplished nothing.

Tough to fault a guy on a 2-on-1 created by his partner who chokes up the puck at the blue line then at center ice.

I hate that line was the one that scored but there is a reason the Penguins didn't want Leopold, he is not strong on the puck.

 

I like what I have seen from the Sabres, they have dominated long strecthes but a bit like the past they have not capitalized on the ones they got. I will admit leclaire has made some quality saves in there as well.

 

I really do like Neidermayer he seems to be around the puck a lot and has had few chances himself, can't coach that.

 

They need to bury a few here in the 3rd and make this night end on a good note. Go sabres.

Roy's first goal was a beauty, drove the left side of the net on a one-on-one, dragged it through across the crease and was able to backhand it past the goalie. His second goal he was behind the goal line and bounced it in off the goalie's skates. :worthy:
