bunomatic Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Which series is everyone looking forward to the most that kicks off tonight? Myself, I'm going to be glued to that Detroit / Pheonix game. The Washington Rangers series also intrigues me as the Caps have faltered in the early round of the playoffs in the past and on paper the Rags have a HUGE advantage in goal. Vancouver - Chicago , defending champs ( though somewhat depleted compared to last year ) against the most sound 'team' in the league. Vancouvers always had trouble with the hawks so it should be a great series.
will Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Funny as hell... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbXLuO5b8yA y'know, this was my first time watching those babies do their thing, and i can't for the life of me understand why this of all things is what gets passed around or clicked on 50 million times. rebecca black, however...GANG FIGHT! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GaKaGwch0U
Two or less Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Fan 590 in Toronto on "Hockey central" just said Coyotes to move to Winnipeg after playoffs. They (Doug McLean and Nick Kypreos) said it's a done deal.

Two or less Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Kypreos is back tracking his words now on twitter.... "For the record I was told the Pho deal to keep team is "all but dead" and an announcement "could" come as soon as their play-off run is over"
LGR4GM Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Kypreos is back tracking his words now on twitter.... "For the record I was told the Pho deal to keep team is "all but dead" and an announcement "could" come as soon as their play-off run is over" Winnipeg is a better market anyways so I hope thats the case.

LabattBlue Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Go in the tank for 2 months. Didn't really pay attention to them, so I don't know who was injured/slumping/traded that put them into the tank. I know his play this season was not up to the level of 09-10, but getting rid of Craig Anderson made a bad situation worst. Budaj and Elliott went 5-21-1 to close the season. Not all their fault and they played some decent games down the stretch. Their offense scored two goals or less in 19 of those games. They have more than enough talent on that team outside of goaltending that their record down the stretch shouldn't have come anywhere near that. IMO they will also regret trading Stewart. Combined with Shattenkirk, I think the Blues got the best of the deal in which they gave up Erik Johnson.
X. Benedict Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Congrats! :P Their storybook season continues.

Ya, congrats Vancouver in winning the Presidents Trophy....now play the cup champs and team that knocked you out the last two straight years in the first round
eball Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Their storybook season continues. It's a true rags to ri....well, whatever.

Almost seemed like the front office wanted to lose - especially after making that trade for Elliott.
nobody Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 Speaking of coaching carousel, Dallas fired Marc Crawford today :D   Interesting opinion article about the firing: Why Joe Nieuwendyk fired Marc Crawford: Buck Showalter

Eleven Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 I didn't know that CBC had announcers this boring. Where did they get them from? It's a tied game--scoreless, of course, but tied--in the third, and they are lulling me to sleep. It's like C-SPAN or something.

Eleven Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 Listening to Beninati and Laughlin (especially Laughlin) brings back horrible memories of watching hockey in Washington. EDIT: Although, the camera shows Washington fans at the game. So something is different.
Derrico Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 Caps tie the game....wow, anyone see that crazy guy with the cigar?
X. Benedict Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 Caps tie the game....wow, anyone see that crazy guy with the cigar? Ranger PP with 4 min to play. 1-1
