wjag Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 How can you be a Sabres fan and not hate the FU%%ING PIECE OF S$IT, WILL HATE TILL THE DAY I DIE, JOKE OF A FRANCHISE EDMONTON F***ING OILERS. Caps lock off. I will just hate that franchise and city until the day I die. I feel absolutely nothing towards the Oilers. They're kind of like that Aunt you never ever see. You know you should care, but you just don't.
eball Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 Now 3-1 Dee-twah. Wow, it's really looking like the final playoff spot will come down to the final game tonight. Whoops, spoke too soon. Big blast and it's 3-2.
Dude Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 The Vanek contract. Edmonton cried for years about how the richer owners were throwing huge contracts around and it was unfair to smaller market teams such as the Oilers. Then what do they do? Sign Vanek for 8 mil per for what 7 years? Regier told them time again that Buffalo was going to match anything they offered (as we had just lost Drury and Briere) yet they still went ahead and overpaid in term and dollars for the Restricted Free Agent Thomas Vanek. Due to the terrible PR the Sabres were in they almost HAD to sign Vanek to the crazy deal. Thanks edmonton for crying about overpaying for players and then do it to us when Regier clearly stated we would match so it was pointless (except to screw us). They're ###### for doing that (they should have gone after Henrik Lundqvist instead), but they're too pathetic to hate.
BuffaloFansR_Crazy Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 Chicago only down by 1 now. Really good game going on (too bad it started at 12:30 so no one on the west coast is watching). I still can't believe how close the West was this year.
Taro T Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 A Dallas win prior to SO (if NBC announcers are correct, don't feel like verifying their math) and they're in. Otherwise, Vancity's reward for their best regular season ever is the defending champs.
deluca67 Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 He should. He did a tremendous job with that roster this year. His team wasn't ready when it mattered most. Costing the franchise at least a couple of mil in playoff revenue.
LabattBlue Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 What an end to Chi vs. Det. Did Keith fan on that shot or did Howard make the save?
Taro T Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 He should. He did a tremendous job with that roster this year. I'd be fine w/ them firing him (I'd prefer all the good coaches except 1 to be in the West or the AHL ;)) but I don't see Jim Rutherford being that foolish.

Otherwise, Vancity's reward for their best regular season ever is the defending champs. IF Dallas gets in, VanCity dodges huge bullet. They'll sweep Dallas away. Dallas was 0-4 and Chicago was 2-2 against Canucks.
sabresnutinphoenix Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 Anyone watch the Black Hawks game??? The Hawks need a goalie...Hint..Hint...
Stormin Norman Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 Look, we all have our inner demons as fans. I loved Bjorn Borg and hated McEnroe when they were going at it on the court. I've been less passionate about it as the years moved on. Carolina is still fresh for me. The franchise sucks, period. If it's not like that for you, great. But don't give me the "get over it" BS. And don't tell me you don't have demons of your own. It's like me telling someone to get over No Goal. I wouldn't do that. I hate those arrogant Hurricane bastards. When we win a Cup, I'll be over it.
wjag Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 What an end to Chi vs. Det. Dit Keith fan on that shot or did Howard make the save? Puck jumped as he was swinging.

But, to those who would boo or stay seated, or whatever a malcontent would do, GET OVER IT.
Derrico Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 IF Dallas gets in, VanCity dodges huge bullet. They'll sweep Dallas away. Dallas was 0-4 and Chicago was 2-2 against Canucks. Totally agree and I don't see Dallas losing a win and your in against a team not playing for anything. Then again look what happened to the canes.
Stormin Norman Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 Pot, meet kettle. You have some memory. Very good memory. Okay, unfair for me to tell people to get over something they feel passionate about. I stand corrected. Did I remember to say I hate those freaking Hurricanes???

It was directed at me so, yeah, I remembered. :D
Stoner Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 Pot, meet kettle. That could be a very good standard retort. Just say "pot, meet kettle. Should I copy and paste your post from back then?" The poster will apologize and slink away.

carpandean Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 A Dallas win prior to SO (if NBC announcers are correct, don't feel like verifying their math) and they're in. It's correct, so I ask again ... So, given the new system, if the Blackhawks lose in regulation and the Stars are nearing the end of OT, will we see them pull their goaltender?
carpandean Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 Yep. Something new! :clapping: (Well, at least since the days where the end of OT meant a tie.) I do seem to remember a team (I almost want to say Buffalo against Montreal in 2007-08 or 2008-09) pulling their goaltender in a tied regulation game, because they couldn't let the other team get one point to stay in the playoff hunt.
bunomatic Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 Chicago only down by 1 now. Really good game going on (too bad it started at 12:30 so no one on the west coast is watching). I still can't believe how close the West was this year. Thats only 9:30 over here. Who's not watching?
JujuFish Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 The Dallas scenario reminded me of something (although its use doesn't really matter here). Do they still have that rule where if you pull your goalie in OT and lose, you get no points at all?
