Great Hit pure and simple, when i was playing hockey your taught that if you dont keeep your head up you get blown up and it should be the same in the NHL, obviously, also it looks like he does hit his shoulder first and this announcer is annoying

To the Leaf fan that ruined my Sabres sweater with that gummy crap when you patted me on the back after your team won, I'd like to say....

Sunday looks a little chilly for golf. Good luck to you too.

It can't be blindside when the guy see him coming right? Eberle puts his arm up to shield himself.

Torres quote about hit:

"It was a fine hit," he said. "I was finishing my hit and he had his head down. We were both going for the puck. I've got to finish my hits. He was obviously in a vulnerable position but at the end of the day I have to finish my hit or else I am out of a job.

"If they are trying to get rid of clean hits like that, what's this league going to be in a couple of years?"

Exactly. Eberle saw him last second and started to bring his arm up - I think that is partially why he cartwheeled the way he did, Eberle was trying to protect himself. I disagree that it isn't blind side if the player saw him coming at the last instant - I think it can still be considered a blind side hit if the hitter is coming from behind and the player sees him because of the approach angle. Eberle didn't see it coming because he was playing with his head down, as opposed to, say, the hit on Drury, where the player came up from behind.

Good for Torres, that fat bastard. He understands the game and his place therein. Campbell may not agree with him, but I am pleased to see he is sticking up for himself. That is not a hit I want taken out of the game.

Probably from his stripper girlfriend's cooch. Try acetate. On second thought forget it. Don't touch it. Take it to a real dry cleaner. Not a drop off spot, a real dry cleaner where they do stuff on site. One that really knows what he is doing can get just about anything out of any fabric made. The polyester jerseys are made of is incredibly resilient stuff.

Big smudge right between the numbers. Some kind of sticky red candy that stained. Actually, it was my only problem this year. But really unnecessary. I'm usually quite civil to all guests and appreciate most of the back and forth. I guess he wasn't as appreciative.

Why wont Carolina just die already I have had enough of them lingering around...Detroit sucks I have come to that point they are a shred of their previous teams... 2-0 carolina. they refuse to go away ... gotta give 'em points for tenacity, but damn it already.

Let's officially make the playoffs on fan appreciation night.

If Carolina keeps it up, they have no choice but to rock the house.. They wouldn't dare lose in front of 80 of their predecessors.

No tenacity...these pickle sniffers are a team chock full of everyone hockey person hates LaRose, Staal, Skinner, Gleason...i even hate past players of their team Rod 'Huge Nose' Brind'amour ( probably couldn't hate any player more past or present in the NHL) this team is easily the most unlikeable team in the NHL way beyond pittsburgh because they have proven something with out their Big Baby stars in and I respect that
