BuffaloFansR_Crazy Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Boston up 3-0 end of first. Pretty funny watching Chara effortlessly knock down to the ice any of the Montreal players that have gone after him so far.
wjag Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Pretty funny watching Chara effortlessly knock down to the ice any of the Montreal players that have gone after him so far. They were clearly just bouncing off. If Montreal loses, they put 6th place in play..
BuffaloFansR_Crazy Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 They were clearly just bouncing off. If Montreal loses, they put 6th place in play.. I would love to see Boston finish 3rd and Montreal finish 6th. That should be a great playoff series.
wjag Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Ottawa takes a 1-0 lead over the Rangers end of 2nd :clapping: Ottawa predictably gives up the tying goal on a delayed penalty. :censored:
wjag Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 After Montreal hung 8 goals on Minnesota, they have been shut out now for 120 minutes..
BuffaloFansR_Crazy Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 After Montreal hung 8 goals on Minnesota, they have been shut out now for 120 minutes.. Boston just straight up made chump meat out of them tonight. How embarrassing was the 5 on 3 shortie they gave up?
wjag Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Ottawa denys Rangers the second point in the SO.
Dave Dryden Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Ottawa denys Rangers the second point in the SO. I'll take it-- losing to Ottawa at home has to be a lost point for NYR.
LGR4GM Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 at least the rangers only managed a point that means with 2 wins in the 2 games in hand we have we can overtake them Thanks Montreal for sucking, that helps fantasy hockey A LOT! could we overtake the canadiens? maybe...

Buffalo has a back-to-back with Florida and Devils while Rangers must go to Boston. Could get interesting. Tampa and Carolina have a home and home making for an interesting weekend. It doesn't get any easier for Habs at DC..
Wyldnwoody44 Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 I think the lightning take both this weekend and the sabres get 3 points against jersey/panters. That will nearly seal us into the playoffs : )
Eleven Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 That was one hell of an asskicking in Boston.

Never really considered this until our last win. With this loss we may have a very slight chance. Looks like T.O. is going to win to hang on to their slim playoff hopes....
FogBat Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 I do believe a win over Florida tomorrow will eliminate them from the playoffs. I have to wonder if the Panthers are already making plans for the golf courses next month.
FogBat Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 That was one hell of an asskicking in Boston. Good players will bounce back from something like that. The rest would be completely demoralized and lose their legs in the final stretch.
X. Benedict Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 That was one hell of an asskicking in Boston. I think those actually hurt less than the close losses at this point in the season. They are already over it before the game is over.

OverPowerYou Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 If all goes well, by Sunday you could see Buffalo within 2 points of both Montreal and New York. Things are getting interesting.
spndnchz Posted March 25, 2011 Author Report Posted March 25, 2011 Komisarek nails Olver http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnjeluyUk38 Clean? I say yes.
shrader Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 I have to wonder if the Panthers are already making plans for the golf courses next month. They have to be. They're done. Buffalo essentially needs to lose out for Florida to make it. And if that actually happens, some of those losses come against other teams Florida needs to jump. They are not in the playoff picture anymore. If all goes well, by Sunday you could see Buffalo within 2 points of both Montreal and New York. Things are getting interesting. 6 points in 9 games is a pretty steep hill to climb, even with the two games in hand.
wjag Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Komisarek nails Olver http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnjeluyUk38 Clean? I say yes. Borderline? Yes.. Clean, No, Yes, No, I'm not sure... Intent to injure? Yes.... Will he be fined? No... I don't like those hits where you come in from the side.
bunomatic Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 If you take the rule literally that was a blind side hit to the head. Dirty under the leagues 'new' interpretation. Add to that the victim never had possession of the puck. I don't believe the puck actually got to him before he was hit. There should be a suspension. Probably a short one.

Oliver swatted the puck out of the air, but it was definitely a blind side hit to the head. He should get whatever the minimum is.
X. Benedict Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Komisarek nails Olver http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnjeluyUk38 Clean? I say yes. I reluctantly agree. Clean. At first I didn't think Olver played the puck, but he does, he picks it out of the air. Devastating hit. Coming across the middle with your head down is asking for it. Keep your head up, Olvy.
Marvelo Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 A bit unrelated here...with Phoenix in a vulnerable spot, do you think that they might be a good trading partner this summer? In particular, I'm thinking Ilya Bryzgalov...http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/players/bio/?id=2252 btw I'm thinking big changes this summer with the team dumping guys like Miller, Vanek and Stafford in some big trades.
