X. Benedict Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 The Mule scores 5 for Detroit. That's a hell of a night.
Weave Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Expect some extended IR for DiPietro. You could have said that on any random day and had a pretty good chance of being correct. He's the Tim Connolly of goaltenders.
korab rules Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Hah ha DePietro! He has a glass jaw to go along with his glass hip. Good thing he's only on the books for another 12 years!

Bmwolf21 Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H34rCU6pTk4 Thanks for posting that. I fell asleep on the couch last night and missed the highlights on NHL on the Fly.
X. Benedict Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 Toronto 3- Carolina 0 in the third I hate to say it but .......GO LEAFS!
Derrico Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 Toronto 3- Carolina 0 in the third I hate to say it but .......GO LEAFS! Atlanta just lost to Calgary. Wow, out of town scoreboard has been good to us the last few nights! Buffalo looks to be 6 behind Atlanta with 5 games in hand, 5 behind Carolina with 3 in hand.
Two or less Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 Anyone see the Boston/Dallas game? Opening faceoff Greg Campbell drops his gloves vs. Steve Ott. There was 3 fights in the FIRST minute. And then this beauty cheap shot elbow by our old friend Danny Paille..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5ggHK-FDRY&feature=player_embedded Yowza!

Lanny Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 Penguins injured center Evgeni Malkin(notes) will return Friday, when Pittsburgh meets the Buffalo Sabres. But the Penguins, still without center Sidney Crosby(notes), have lost another center, Mark Letestu(notes), for 4-6 weeks due to arthroscopic knee surgery. http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news;_ylt=Av5SPjgQR2xmULKpSMoxPxl7vLYF?slug=ap-penguins-injuries

wonderbread Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 Well. At least the Pens will be without Letestu or whatever it is. Letestube?
SwampD Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 Sh*tty h*t. If you're Sawada it is. I thought it was completely clean, and he didn't make contact with the head like the announcers said.
bunomatic Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 If you're Sawada it is. I thought it was completely clean, and he didn't make contact with the head like the announcers said. I saw shoulder contact and am positive it wasn't an elbow.

Had his hearing today. Paille gets 4 games.
Stoner Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 Had his hearing today. Paille gets 4 games. That's just so weak if you're serious about getting that out of the game. Fine the owner a million. Suspend the coach for 10 games.
shrader Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 I'm having trouble seeing the elbow because of the speed and the camera angles, but that was definitely the blindside hit they've been talking about.

He hits him shoulder to shoulder but he has his elbow out in front at the last second and pops him in the nose with the elbow at the same time. Sawada has injury to his shoulder and nose from the hit. Beauty of a hit, but illegal.

That is a completely legal hit in my eyes and I don't want that getting taken out of the game.
spndnchz Posted February 4, 2011 Author Report Posted February 4, 2011 Monster goes down to AHL for some work. James Reimer to start tomorrow for Toronto.
darksabre Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 Monster goes down to AHL for some work. James Reimer to start tomorrow for Toronto. Reimer has been a bright spot for Toronto lately. The question is whether he can keep winning or if he runs out of gas trying to put the team on his back? He'll be another goalie this year that has come up and shown a lot of promise. Cory Schneider for Van has been stellar, Corey Crawford has been good enough to steal the starting job from Turco, and Bernier for the Kings has had good outings too. It'd be nice if we had a young goalie jabbing at Miller's job from the bench.
