FolignosJock Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 hahahah how is that a blocked word
spndnchz Posted October 11, 2010 Author Report Posted October 11, 2010 I'd give Avery about 5 games for that. I know right? Everyone knows Avery does it with the right hand. geez.
spndnchz Posted October 11, 2010 Author Report Posted October 11, 2010 Are they going to roll into Buffalo on Wednesday with that lineup? Wonder what the league thinks. Could you have 6 forwards and 6 d-men all getting paid the big bucks and actually call it a TEAM?
Eleven Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 we can only hope So avery mimicked ###### is that what ur trying to say chz lol i didnt think you would try to be politically correct Actually, Wisniewski made the universal BJ gesture at Avery. I'd still suspend Avery.
spndnchz Posted October 11, 2010 Author Report Posted October 11, 2010 From yahoo: "This incident will not blow over. It's something the NHL needs to get a grip on before it explodes." ROFLMAO

Eleven Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 Yahoo's headline wasn't bad, either: http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/Video-Isles-Wisniewski-lewdly-shows-Sean-Avery?urn=nhl-276136&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
Sterling Archer Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 So, how many games for this one... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77lshS0ZUts&feature=player_embedded The Wis really got into it, too. I mean it had to be at least a foot+ for how low he had his hand.
nfreeman Posted October 11, 2010 Report Posted October 11, 2010 Here's something pretty interesting: NJ will only be able to dress 9 forwards (& 6 defensemen & 2 goalies) tonight due to cap constraints: stinky This mess is the culmination of seasons of cap mismanagement from Lamoriello, a general manager that used to earn accolades for keeping salaries in check even as the Devils carried high payrolls overall. If there's any defense of Lou, it's that the Ilya Kovalchuk(notes) contract mess tied his hands this summer on making a cap-influenced trade to cut salary; now, when player on long-term injured reserve return, he'll have to force a move to get under the cap. (But it should be noted that it's the Devils who tried the 17-year deal.) But that's the only defense. Otherwise, this is a franchise that's gone from rolling four lines to win championships to one that can only afford three. That is a debacle.

Two or less Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 NJD sign Adam Mair to a 1-year deal worth $515k per Nick Kyrpeos, will make debut Wed in Buffalo.
Sterling Archer Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 Good for him. Plenty more night spots in NYC for him to get KTFO in front of.
Two or less Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 per Darren Dreger, Wisniewski gets a 2 game suspension.
Sterling Archer Posted October 12, 2010 Report Posted October 12, 2010 How many games did Avery get for "sloppy seconds?"
bunomatic Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 That rude gesture just very well may have injured Avery as bad as Pomminstein was injured on that dirty hit. At least thats what the league would have us believe.
Sterling Archer Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 That rude gesture just very well may have injured Avery as bad as Pomminstein was injured on that dirty hit. At least thats what the league would have us believe. Punish the act. Not the result.
bunomatic Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 Thats exactly what the league believes they've done. This is how they have always punished the act. Far to lenient and never a deterant. A deterant would be a true suspension and fine not simply the appearance of a suspension. Another poster said it but this is exactly how they let the steve moore fiasco get out of hand.
Two or less Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Anyone see this fight from last night? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tf3vYVZ-A4g&feature=related
spndnchz Posted October 14, 2010 Author Report Posted October 14, 2010 Anyone see this fight from last night? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tf3vYVZ-A4g&feature=related I just did. Nice shot.
shrader Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Orr was carrying that one on points, but all it takes is one punch.
spndnchz Posted October 14, 2010 Author Report Posted October 14, 2010 Toni Lydman has been cleared to play.
shrader Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Toni Lydman has been cleared to play. I wonder if that will send Fowler packing.
