Bullwinkle Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Toronto is trying to negotiate for the rights to talk with Talbot.
Sterling Archer Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Toronto is trying to negotiate for the rights to talk with Talbot. I would just like to cite the Hamhuis deal last year on how well this whole rights trading thing works.
Bullwinkle Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Darren Dreger Leafs talked earlier with Pens about Talbot's neg rights, but I'm told they're now out of the mix. Good player. Will make next team better.

Bullwinkle Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Is there an echo in here? I don't know, but I do know that there are too many threads! Gets confusing.

spndnchz Posted June 29, 2011 Author Report Posted June 29, 2011 Whoever asked (I think Eggs benedict) who TC's agent is, it's JP Barry
Sterling Archer Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Whoever asked (I think Eggs benedict) who TC's agent is, it's JP Barry Tis been discussed. It's Regehr's agent as well.

Eleven Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Belfour, Gilmour, Nieuwendyk, and Mark Howe elected to HOF.
shrader Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Belfour, Gilmour, Nieuwendyk, and Mark Howe elected to HOF. Did Adam Oates secretly murder someone?
Taro T Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Did Adam Oates secretly murder someone? Yes, but he forgot to offer the cops a $Billion to get out of it.
X. Benedict Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Belfour, Gilmour, Nieuwendyk, and Mark Howe elected to HOF. Belfour? The first thing that comes to mind is that he would never be considered if it hadn't been for a late stint in Toronto. The rest are good choices.

Taro T Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Wasn't this the first time on the ballot for him too? I think there were much better choices than him... Apparently Ol' Bats in His offered the $Billion to some of the HoF voters as well. :o Either X's speculation on how he got in is correct or there were voters w/ ties to Chicago that remember his rookie campaign and talked that up heavily. Personally, I don't think Barrasso should be in the HoF but I'd put him in there before Eddie.
shrader Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Belfour? The first thing that comes to mind is that he would never be considered if it hadn't been for a late stint in Toronto. The rest are good choices. And one ring that was awarded to him. That's all they really seem to care about at this point. Put one ring on Oates' finger and he's a first ballot hall of famer. I would love to see these voters debate the merits of Ron Francis over Adam Oates. The only difference I see is that Francis got two rings while playing on a ridiculously stacked team, a luxury that Oates never had. There was only one guy in that era who was a better setup man than Oates and that was some guy named Wayne.

But I didn't think he was necessarily such a shoe-in.

Eleven Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Caps goalie Varlamov headed for the KHL. In Soviet Russia, the goalie scores on you.
Lanny Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Wisniewski's rights dealt to Columbus http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=567703
carpandean Posted June 29, 2011 Report Posted June 29, 2011 Wisniewski's rights dealt to Columbus http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=567703 A 7th and a conditional (if signed) 5th? Sounds like a cheap deal for those rights. Edit: oops, actually is a 7th or a 5th, if signed.
