spndnchz Posted June 24, 2011 Author Report Posted June 24, 2011 Markov re-signs with Montreal. Three-year deal, cap hit is $5.75. Regehr looks cheap.
Bullwinkle Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Ridiculous for a guy with his injury history. I'm dropping him from my fantasy team.
drnkirishone Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 I had him on my don't pick list last year lol
deluca67 Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Setoguchi re-signed with SJ Sharks 3 years 3 million per year cap hit. 10 less goals and 37 less points in 50 less games than Stafford in the regular season. 14 goals 24 points in 48 playoff games. Stafford 7 points in 20 playoff games. People said I was crazy when I said Stafford isn't worth $4 mil.

Not that I think you would consider that.
Lanny Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 And you still are..... Setoguchi wasn't in an arbitration year. Not that I think you would consider that. How many UFA years did Setoguchi's contract buy? There's alot of factors that go into these contracts, not just play on the ice.
X. Benedict Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 How many UFA years did Setoguchi's contract buy? None. There's alot of factors that go into these contracts, not just play on the ice. The collective bargaining agreement determines a lot of it.
spndnchz Posted June 24, 2011 Author Report Posted June 24, 2011 Rick Dudley added to Leafs mngt team - Leafs
X. Benedict Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Rick Dudley added to Leafs mngt team - Leafs I'm not happy with this one. Best move Burke has made in Toronto. And most likely his eventual replacement.
shrader Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Will Animal Planet air a bunch of puppies on skates during the Stanley Cup final?
X. Benedict Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Will Animal Planet air a bunch of puppies on skates during the Stanley Cup final? Kitsch on steroids.
chileanseabass Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 A client of mine in Seattle just sent me an email saying the Canucks resigned Bieksa. Can't find confirmation online. Anyone else hear this?
Braedon Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 A client of mine in Seattle just sent me an email saying the Canucks resigned Bieksa. Can't find confirmation online. Anyone else hear this? Reading 5 for $21, but it's coming from Twitter blasts. Nothing official. Some guy said that it's a fake Kypreos and account and Eklund reiterated it so don't believe it. We'll see.

Braedon Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Per Bob McKenzie: Kevin Bieksa has agreed to terms on a new contract with the Canucks.

Some guy said that it's a fake Kypreos and account and Eklund reiterated it so don't believe it. We'll see. He said he heard it on the radio, but they didn't give financial details. 5 years for $21 million seems like one hell of a hometown discount if it is true. Edit: per TSN
Bullwinkle Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Bieksa had no interest in Buffalo anyway. I doubt if we were even looking his way. Regarding another D, Wisniewski is a more likely addition.

LastPommerFan Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 5 years $23M ($4.6M cap hit) What are they feeding them up there? He easily just gave up $5M over that term. Agents and the NHLPA must HATE Vancouver.
Bullwinkle Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Flyers sent Powe to the Wild for their 3rd round pick. Priming themselves for Richards!
inkman Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Flyers sent Powe to the Wild for their 3rd round pick. Priming themselves for Richards! Beat me to it. Unloading your two top centers without getting any NHL centers in return screams of them having the deal already in place. They currently have ~ $7 million in cap space and I'm sure could free up a few more mill with some tweaking. I think there is a good chance we'll see him in orange and black real soon.
Two or less Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Florida acquires Tomas Kopecky for a 7th round pick from Chicago. Panthers GM has 4 days to re-sign Kopecky before he becomes an UFA.
