You mean the first round pick they used on Tyler Ennis? Anyway, I'm not sure what that has to do with your original point of Vancouver and large forwards.

Campbell was walking.....Tyler Ennis not bad.

Bernier was spun to Vancouver for a 2nd and a 3rd...

So Campbell for a 1st 2nd 3rd......almost an entire draft..

But we did lose a 7th round pick in that trade. (In my best GoDD voice)

The 3rd round pick? Brayden McNabb. The 2nd round pick went to Columbus last year for Torres. So there it is, I figured out GoDD's point in mentioning Campbell. It all comes back to Torres.

Looks like Vancouver got their scare from Chicago and a little bit from Nashville. Now they are running on all cylinders. When the Canucks commit to playing an offensive style they can really dominate. Looks like our sister expansion team is very close to hoisting Lord Stanley and I for one will be extremely jealous/envious.

I live in Kelowna and every other car has a Canucks flag waving from it. We are 4 - 5 hour away by car. This province will go nuts if they can get 6 more wins.

If Ben Eager keeps playing the way he did last night, it won't take long for the Canucks to the Final.

On a side note. Patty Marleau, don't try to get your team going by inviting Bieksa to a fight. Bad move son. Bieksa couldn't believe his luck there.

Standing over Loungo last night was something I don't remember seeing in that context at any level.

He gets a Fred Sandford "Wise up you Dummy!"

I don't know how this got back to 2007...

But Buffalo lost to Ottawa...outhit them...but took a billion minors...and was 0-for-May on the powerplay.

Lack of size, maybe....but it was the skilled players that didn't deliver in that series.. ....the ones that walked out 4 weeks later. That and Alfredson ate the Sabres lunch in that series...I don't know if a big guy stops Alfie back then.

It got back to 2007 because I was told that I had a weak statement that would take years to prove. I said I've been saying it since after Dumont, McKee, Grier, Pyatt walked. I was told to prove it. I proved it.

Lindy was badly outcoached in that series. All Ottawa did was full court press our soft Dmen, even when the Sabres had the powerplay...and watched them crumble. In game 1 alone they had at least one shortie I believe. It was so simple it was brilliant. Go after the geek and take his lunch money until he learns to fight back, or stop eating lunch.

Sometimes I wish I had other people's rosie outlooks. Heroin does too much damage though.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I admire anyone dropping the gloves knowing they are going to receive some mote than they give. It takes courage to invite an ass beating, God knows I've been there.

Interesting how both Dominic Moore and Raffi Torres are playing important roles for 2011 Conference Finalists when neither contributed anything of note to the Sabres.....

This game reminded me of the sabres playing......minimal forecheck by tampa and both goals directly related to the inability to clear the zone...the puck was 6 inches from the blue line on both goals....either way vancouver will destroy either of these teams.....but that's just my humble opinion : )

I really like Guy Boucher...but.....sitting back in that 1-3-1 when Tampa was a goal behind going into the third is pretty much an admission that Tampa can't match Boston's lines.
