bunomatic Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 With the way Kesler has been playing I just don't see this Preds team pulling off the upset. Another nice goal in the first by Kesler tonight.
LGR4GM Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 legwand (2 goals tonight including a shorthander) is going to try and take down the kesler... its another good game by both teams
Iron Crotch Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 legwand (2 goals tonight including a shorthander) is going to try and take down the kesler... its another good game by both teams Leggie (Nashville's first ever draft pick) pulled a Vanek on that second goal. Exciting game... Preds may go out tonight, but they won't go out without a fight!
darksabre Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 The refs are certainly doing a great job of letting these players try to kill each other...
Iron Crotch Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 Two goals in the third by Joel Ward. He's been a monster all playoffs. I posted up-thread that IMHO he's a UFA worth taking a run at in July since he's a gritty, proven playoff performer.
darksabre Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 Nashville has a good set of underrated players. I'm almost torn on this series. I like Vancouver but I love the was Nashville plays and I'm a bigger Rinne fan than Luongo. And seriously, Shea Weber's beard is absurd.
darksabre Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 The Vancouver Canucks: diving and whining. The more they struggle the less I like them. I don't mind a team with an attitude of "we're not going to be pushed around" but Vancouver is more of a "we're tired of everyone making fun of us". It's not becoming of a team that thinks it's a Stanley Cup contender. Just shut up and play the game.
X. Benedict Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 The more I watch this series the more I appreciate Nashville's forwards. They are all committed to every zone and play a team game.
OverPowerYou Posted May 8, 2011 Report Posted May 8, 2011 The Canucks haven't been playing very well for the #1 ranked team. They almost let Chicago come back on them and now they can't close it out against Nashville. If they make it to the conference finals, don't expect them to win.
X. Benedict Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Sharks blow a 3-1 lead in the first 5 minutes of the third. They can't stand prosperity. tied 3-3 Check that....Detroit now 4-3.... San Jose imploding......Datsyk just took over the game. Sharks had this series won. It's like they are cursed.

It's kind of strange hearing Jeremy Roenick calling somebody gutless.

sabre snipe Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 man i would give up half our team for a guy like datsyuk or lidstrom...if they werent as old as they are, that is. just incredible, clutch players you build a franchise around. Datsyuk rarely gets the respect he deserves. 2nd best player in the league behind crosby, IMO

carpandean Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 I'd rather have Datsyuk than Crosby, personally. The dude's game just amazes me. He's so smart it hurts. I'd be happy just to have a chance to get either one, much less be in a position to choose.
LaLaLaFontaine Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Those two we won't get. Stamkos we won't get too. Maybe we are lucky and can get Malkin and he come back to his cup season form. I really like Detroit. It is the team i like most out of the Western conference. In the East i only hope that Tampa destroys Boston as they destroyed Washington. There are so many team i don't like. Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Boston, Montreal, New Jersey ...
carpandean Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 Those two we won't get. Oh, no doubt. I don't think anyone was remotely suggesting we would. When you talk about the best and who you'd rather have, it's not really a discussion of feasible results ... which was kinda my point.
thesportsbuff Posted May 9, 2011 Report Posted May 9, 2011 IDK if I'd rather have Datsyuk than Crosby but that was an incredible performance by him.... out of all the playoff games I've watched this year I've seen three or four incredible individual performances... Miller vs Philly, JVR vs Boston Game 1 or 2 (can't remember which), Kesler vs Nashville Game 3 or 4, and now Datsyuk last night. Awesome hockey.
LGR4GM Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 kesler 2 assists so far and Legwand gets a goal to keep Nashville close 2-1 in the second!
X. Benedict Posted May 10, 2011 Report Posted May 10, 2011 kesler 2 assists so far and Legwand gets a goal to keep Nashville close 2-1 in the second! Kesler just ran Rinne in the first.....didn't even try to stop. I thought that could have been a charging major.
