Sara_Elizabeth Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 I wanted to ask around here about my dilemma: I want to be able to watch as many Sabres games online as possible. I don't have television. So, if I subscribe to NHL game center live, should I be able to watch every or at least nearly every game, or am I going to run into a lot of problems with that? Thanks!! ~Sara :-)
carpandean Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 Do you live in Buffalo's media market (extends all the way to Syracuse, I think)? If so, then I believe the NHL game center is subject to blackout rules. Your best bet, if you are willing to cross into that gray area of legality, is to try atdhe.net or justin.tv.
Eleven Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 and atdhe.net but the best way to watch a Sabres game is at the arena.
inkman Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 Well, I could describe the best way for me to watch a game but I'm guessing since you appear to be a woman it might be a little different.
Sterling Archer Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 Wait so have the floodgates been opened for objectification.

Thanks!! ~Sara :-) I've got Game Center. I was able to watch every single game the Sabres played last year that wasn't nationally televised. The one thing I didn't like was they generally selected the home broadcast as first choice, unless it wasn't in HD then they would air the away broadcast. So most of the games I saw last year I had to listen to the opposing teams announcers. But, Game Center just started back up a couple of days ago and they say this year everybody will have a choice of the home or away broadcast. I thought it was great last year, if you have decent internet speed it worked just fine. Even better if you have a computer with a good video card and an HDMI output. Unless, like was mentioned above, if you live in the blackout area then GC won't work for you.
TheMatrix31 Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 How much is the online service this year?
SwampD Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 So, in one thread you're asking about MSG in HD and in this one you don't have a TV? Sounds fishy,.. like you're fishing.
spndnchz Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 So, in one thread you're asking about MSG in HD and in this one you don't have a TV? Sounds fishy,.. like you're fishing. Rent a Center ---- denied.
Sara_Elizabeth Posted October 8, 2010 Author Report Posted October 8, 2010 So, in one thread you're asking about MSG in HD and in this one you don't have a TV? Sounds fishy,.. like you're fishing. No, I'm not fishing. I'm a college student and I don't have a TV but was contemplating getting one for the sole purpose of watching sports.
nobody Posted October 9, 2010 Report Posted October 9, 2010 No, I'm not fishing. I'm a college student and I don't have a TV but was contemplating getting one for the sole purpose of watching sports. If you do get a TV - will you watch fishing? ;)
