Anyone got the streaming video link yet? I haven't found one

Neither team is televising it - so we probably won't be able to see it - JR on GR.

What did Carcillo get the game misconduct for? Edit: per WGR, he tried to start something after Myers scored.

It's funny, Leopold has no points, but he's a +4. Roy has two goals and two assists, but it only a +2. Edit 2: now, Leopold is just a +3 and Roy only has one assist.

This final score doesn't excite me too much considering the players the Flyers decided to sit today. It is a nice way to end our preseason though. Let the boys go into the season feeling good about their game.

Went to last nights game. Please keep in mind the Sabres played the modified Flyers last night.

Starting with goalies:

Miller... decent. Should've had that Carcillo slapper, didn't have his stick flat. He was there just didn't have his stick flat. On the second goal he must've been screaned, shot went through at least 5 guys, he never moved. Nice blocker to that Flyers' face, had a nice little talk with him.

Enroth... much better than last year, he's getting quicker. Only problem I see in his game is his lateral movement.

D-men

Montador and Leopold seem to have the same game, get the puck up ice with a good pass and try not to f-up.

Sekera... can't someone teach him how to keep the puck in at the point?

Butler...How about sticking up for ur goalie you expletive!

Myers and Morrison.. now here's a pair. Morrison played more physical this game, seemed to be in sync with Myers. Myers. Man this kids got it. At least a half dozen times got away from the forecheck with a simple move or twirl or stickhandle. One play he had it behind the Sabres net, dekes out a guy, then two more come at him along the board, with his stick in his left hand pushes both players out of the way with his right and takes it up ice, simply brilliant. His move to get the goal was priceless also.

Forward.

Roy and Stafford, both with I think 10 or 9 points in 5 pre-season games. Both look stronger, constantly taking pucks away from the opposition. The passing last night was a thing of beauty,. Stafford's goal with about 6 moves and then the shot for the score was awesome. He seems ready to go into the corners or to the net more. I've noticed him shooting A LOT more this pre-season.

Pommers... must have worked on his shot this off season. Much better, much quicker.

Hecht.. maybe the AHL goalie, but his shot was quick and accurate.

Connolly... also seemed quicker this pre-season. He had two bad turnovers last night, but like Hecht had a blistering wrister for a goal.

Gerbe and Ennis... if there was some way to have them both playing. Ennis especially on the power play. I think that might be the deciding factor here.

Kaleta.. he gave Powe one shot, one helluva shot. Down goes Powe.

And Carcillo getting booted out of the game was great. All the yappin' he did on the way out to the ref might get him some more time off.

Why was Carcillo tossed?

Not quite sure. After Kaleta TKO'd Powe they had a face off at center ice and Goose and him started yapping it up. Carcillo came across before the puck dropped and starting mouthing off. I think at first he was only getting a 10 minute misconduct but Carcillo-esque he wouldn't STFU.

If it is indeed a problem, that sounds like a serious flaw to me. At his size, he needs to move just about perfectly. Luckily they have the luxury to groom him just about as much as humanly possible.

Anyone know if the game is being re-aired or highlights put online?

I haven't found anything and I'm guessing since the game wasn't televised there won't be any.

I think someone mentioned earlier in the thread that neither team televised the game. That would mean there is no original broadcast that could be re-broadcast anywhere.

Butler just standing there while Miller himself had to defend himself really bothered me. If I were Butler I'd have pucked that dude up just to break his face.

That's the second reference to this ... what happened? And if Butler should have done something, well, maybe that's the decision-maker as far as who gets the 6th and 7th spots.

Flyers winger coming down the right side wall.

Butler locked up with Kalinski coming down the middle.

Pass to the net, Butler's not letting go.

Kalinski shows no effort to not crash into Miller (very little if any ice shavings flying)

Miller was down in the blue to make the save, Kalinski pushed him inside the net.

Butler may have not given him an option (maybe why he didn't do anything)

Butler did take him down behind the net by the end of the play.

Miller thought otherwise and grabbed the back of his jersey as he skated away. (crowd loved it).

I should note the Sabres were down by one at this point, not up by 6.

My hunch...he didn't want to be the only regular roster player in the game...and asked the refs for a hand. ;)
