Two or less Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 Mid-way through 3rd, 3-3 still. Enroth looking sharp. Leafs are playing what may be their opening night defense so i'd say Sabres are doing pretty well so far.
Two or less Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 4-3 Leafs with about 8min to go. Hanson nailed it from the point and i think it hit Orr infront of the net for the goal.
Two or less Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 Kulenin again 5-3. Kaberle nice pass and he rocketed it past Enroth. Again, lots of space for Kulenin to skate around. He had ton of room. Not sure why Sabres arn't defending him?
Two or less Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 penalty shot for gerbe.... Gerbe burned Schenn!
darksabre Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 Drew Stafford: Preseason All-Star
carpandean Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 They're better in the Sabre store. I picked up one there last year at Christmas time for my brother and everything was stitched on. It also didn't have that stupid size label on the front. Really? Every Premier in the Sabre store today had the stupid size tag on the front.
jpgr909 Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 Even in the preseason it still hurts to lose to those turds.
wonderbread Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 So how did kassian play? Not to bad. Gerbe looks like he couldmake this team. Weber on the other hand is Mark Mancari II, Career Ahler.
sjb012 Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 I didn't really think Kassian looked that good. Must admit that I missed the Saturday game against the laughs. Tonight though, he was very forgetable.
Claude_Verret Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 Whites look awesome!!! Yes. The Sabres went from by far the worst jerseys in the league to top five. The whites are sharp.
nfreeman Posted September 28, 2010 Author Report Posted September 28, 2010 Not to bad. Gerbe looks like he couldmake this team. Weber on the other hand is Mark Mancari II, Career Ahler. +1. Gerbe is pushing hard and is pretty effective. And regrettably, Weber looks like he has the body and the aggressiveness to be an NHL player, but not the decision-making or the passing. It might get better with experience, and he seemed to improve over the course of the game, but in the first half of the game last nght, it seemed like every pass he made was off target and every defensive zone decision was poor. For that matter, neither Sekera nor Butler played particularly well either. Right now it's not a question of which of those 3 is going to win the job, it's which one is going to be the least bad.
shrader Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 Really? Every Premier in the Sabre store today had the stupid size tag on the front. That's disappointing. Maybe they're in mass production mode right now. At least you can remove them if you decide to go that route. Oh, and I'm sure it's been said already, but I've decided that Leopold will be going by the nickname Butters this season.
X. Benedict Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 Even in the preseason it still hurts to lose to those turds. The bright side -- Toronto skated its top 6 D. Komiserik, Phaneuf, Kaberle all look pretty good. Toronto should be worried - -- Gunnarson, Schenn, and Beuchemin look terrible.
wjag Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 Essp. Stafford. Can't remember the last time i've seen him skate this well. I heard on the broadcast last night he dropped 15lbs to play lighter and skate faster. In the two games I saw, it does appear to be..

inkman Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 I think I missed something... http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butters_Stotch?wasRedirected=true Thankfully google directed me to the South Park reference as I find that show less than redeeming.

Will Montador be his acountabilibuddy? http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butters_Stotch?wasRedirected=true Thankfully google directed me to the South Park reference as I find that show less than redeeming. What a coincidence. That's what we all think of you. :nana:

Toronto should be worried - -- Gunnarson, Schenn, and Beuchemin look terrible. Good call. As for Schenn, is that guy ever going to materialize into what they'd hoped? I see my fair share of Loaf games during the season, and it looks like the guy just doesn't get it at this level.
