nfreeman Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 It's just preseason, but there is a Sabres game tonight! The possibilities stretch out before us like a huge bucket of wings. We're going to see Miller, Myers, Vanek, Ennis, Leopold, Morrisson, Niedermayer, Kassian, Adam, Weber, Lindy... NHL Network is showing the game on tape delay at 11 pm tonight. Go Sabres.
korab rules Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Taking the whole family. Can't wait!
TheMatrix31 Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 I'll be watching the replay after I get home from work. Good to have our boys back, even if it is "just" preseason!
wjag Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Just win! Too early? Clearly, this is a MUST win
cdexchange Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Clearly, this is a MUST win
carpandean Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 This is the Leafs' fifth game in five nights! They played back-to-back against the Sens, then the same against the Flyers. The latter went to shootouts both nights. Do they have anyone left who can still skate?
darksabre Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Keep an eye on Mike Brown tonight for the leafs. He's been a real pest in the preseason so far.
wjag Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 The Leafs have played four games and the Sabres none, the NHL is whacked.
shrader Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 The Leafs have played four games and the Sabres none, the NHL is whacked. The teams schedule preseason games on their own.
bunomatic Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 The teams set up their own pre-season games not the league. The canucks recently played a game in Calgary and a game in Vancouver against Calgary on the same night. Both Calgary and Vancouver broke their rosters up into 2 teams each.
wjag Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 The teams schedule preseason games on their own. Proof positive that the NHL is whacked.
frisky Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Finally, it has returned. The joy, the agony, the petty arguments on the board. How I've missed the hockey season. I have posted a link to the streaming video if anyone wants to watch it live rather than tape delayed on NHL Network. It is in the other Toronto thread. Bring it on!
Doohicksie Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 NHL Network is showing the game on tape delay at 11 pm tonight. Sweet- my three fave teams (Sabres, Wings & Hawks) all playing in back-to-back games.
Two or less Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Can't wait, but i will wait until 11pm to watch it so hopfully nobody spoilers the score during our draft. haha Lines for the game- Thomas Vanek-Derek Roy-Drew Stafford Luke Adam-Tim Connolly-Jason Pominville Tyler Ennis-Rob Niedermayer-Zack Kassian Nathan Gerbe-Paul Gaustad-Cody McCormick Shaone Morrisonn-Tyler Myers Chris Butler-Drew Schiestel Brayden McNabb-Andrej Sekera Ryan Miller
thesportsbuff Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 you know, Harry neale can be annoying... but im watching a live stream from toronto and both of these guys annoy the hell out of me.
ROC Sabres Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Proof positive that the NHL is whacked. Kinda like how the Rangers always seem to play 4 games before any other team plays 1.
Sterling Archer Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Status of Zack Kassian: Golde3n God
novascotiaguy Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Yup he looks great out there hope he makes the team
inkman Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Status of Zack Kassian: Golde3n God What does that mean?
inkman Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 I'd love to see a kassian-ennis line.
spndnchz Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 "The diminutive forward gets a shot off as he gets hacked and whacked"
Billfold100 Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Game is still going so I won't mention the score but a few observations albeit during one meaningless game... - Morrisson looks good. His presence (toughness)is much more noticeable than Hank or Toni. - McNabb and Shistel both played well for young D. - Kassian had one nice hit but otherwise seemed timid, looked a little slow...probably nervous - Miller looked in mid-season form - Top six still looks like they did last season...unfortunately. - Good to see MacArthur in another team's uniform. - Toronto's young players seem light years behind ours. - Without Ennis and Gerbe, we have very little speed.
