deluca67 Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Yeah because the Sabres, with 8 NHL defensemen on the roster, are trying to move two forwards to add a 9th. If we could do it for Stafford and Gaustad or something, I'm all for it -- of course this will likely mean losing one of Butler/Weber/Sekera to minors or on waivers or whatever the situation is. But pretty much anybody else besides maybe Gerbe and I don't see it happening. What would that have to do with it? Not saying there is any truth to this rumor. Just because the Sabres have 8 defensemen it doesn't mean they are in love with all of them. There is a great deal of room for improvement on the roster. I would love to see the Sabres make a actual hockey trade. It would be a great sign that the Cup is the goal. I would love to see the Sabres acquire a Jack Johnson instead of the Jack Sh!T they acquired in the off-season.
Eleven Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Don't care where he goes, as long as he goes. Stafford < Cyr.
shrader Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Hence W...twice. Looks like crosschecking left at just the wrong time.
korab rules Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 This is from eck, so it could never happen, but did you see jj play at the olympics? He was an absolue stud. There isn't much I wouldn't move to get him.
inkman Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Looks like crosschecking left at just the wrong time. I suppose I can be thankful for it briefly but in the long run he will be missed. I enjoy hearing very different opions and he was certainly one of them. Although some of his stuff was near lunacy.
Punch Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 It's a shame Ecklund "reported" this... I would love Jack Johnson on this team, but now we know it'll never ever happen.
nobody Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 I suppose I can be thankful for it briefly but in the long run he will be missed. blugold43 Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Read at your own risk....but here it is. "I'm also looking into a possible deal involving the Sabres and Kings that could bring Jack Johnson and a pick to Buffalo for Stafford and "another strong forward with speed." Stafford to LA? Any takers on who this is? http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_dish/2010/09/chart-of-the-day-7.html

The diversity is important.
SwampD Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_dish/2010/09/chart-of-the-day-7.html In Eck's case it's a horizontal line.
SteamRoller72 Posted September 25, 2010 Report Posted September 25, 2010 Bam is Eck. +1 The guy is right about .015% of the time. ###### spews from his mouth like saliva.
