spndnchz Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 Hockey News learned today that the NHL and NHL officials still don't have a deal for 2010-11 season. They started calling AHL and ECHL ref's to see if they'll scab. Negotiating tactic or just planning ahead? The ref's already have their assignments according to the article and have 'practiced'.
Two or less Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 Negotiating tactic. These guys have no idea how to ref a game of such intensity and speed. That would be a disaster.
SDS Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 Negotiating tactic. These guys have no idea how to ref a game of such intensity and speed. That would be a disaster. Can't you say that for most games?
FogBat Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 Can't you say that for most games? :w00t:  Scabbing... So much for not trying to be jejune. It's not a negotiating tactic. It's an intimidation tactic.
FogBat Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 I say we hire new NHL zebras from Mexico...
korab rules Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 Who cares. The NHL refs are doing such a great job that they are irreplaceable?
deluca67 Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Forget the refs, play the game using the honor system.
FogBat Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Forget the refs, play the game using the honor system. ...and scrap the Instigator rule.
