FolignosJock Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 Nothing wrong with wanting to see the hometowners make it professionally. If anyone remembers in 20 years it will be here. People wil def remember him around Buffalo, a hometown kid that played in the NHL however so briefly and no matter the outcome he played in the NHL. How many of us can say that ???
LabattBlue Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 As much as some people want to ###### on him, I still contend that Kennedy had a very promising rookie season. What happened to him since then, who knows? His success went to his head? The whole arbitration thing, and subsequently getting let go by the Sabres sent him spiraling? Maybe he played way over his head in 09-10? PS I am not defending him because he is a "Buffalo kid".
shrader Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 It can't be all bus travel in the AHL, is it? There has to be plenty of flying at this point, especially for those Texas teams. And then there's Abbotsford up in BC. Their shortest trip is probably to Milwaukee. They're flying everywhere. It has to lead to some pretty long road trips for these teams though where they fly out for the first game and then bus around from city to city for extended periods of time.
