wjag Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 If not a QB it has to be a impact starter on either side of the ball. A caller had a great point on the post game show. If Luck comes out why not offer 5 first round picks for him? Look at the last 5 first round the Bills had. Ralph promised a QB. I'll betcha he backs out of that now that Fitz threw 20+ TDs. They'll use whatever excuse they can come up with NOT to draft a QB.

Skibum Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Top four pick will be a really solid position. I'm not a fan of using the pick on Newton. I agree. He's obviously very talented but comes across as an arrogant punk. I actually thought the kid from TCU looked pretty good.
shrader Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 This will be such a strange offseason for addressing those holes. The Merriman thing signals that they might actually be willing to put some money out there to a couple free agents to fill some gaps. That would obviously change what they would need to do in the draft. But then again, does free agency even happen before the draft this year thanks to the potential of a lockout?
JujuFish Posted January 2, 2011 Report Posted January 2, 2011 Strength of schedule. Carolina is 1st, Cincy is 2nd. Bills will get 3rd or 4th. Cincinnati and Buffalo have nearly identical strengths of schedule. It won't be until after the games are over for that to be determined. Denver's schedule is easier than both Buffalo and Cincinnati's and regardless of the outcomes today it will remain easier.

It won't be until after the games are over for that to be determined. Denver's schedule is easier than both Buffalo and Cincinnati's and regardless of the outcomes today it will remain easier. According to WGR, we can't watch Cincy for #2. Only way we can move from 4th to 3rd with a Denver loss is if Oakland, Houston and Indy all win. Not sure if it's accurate but they said it multiple times. Only chance we had to beat Cincy was if Philly had beaten the Viks last week OR a Cincy win today. Neither happened.

The News had it differently: http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/article299497.ece Of course, as bio pointed out, the News also had Penn State as a winner yesterday. EDIT: The Bills' website says that the Bills pick third, after Denver and before Cincinnati: http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2011/01/02/bills-will-have-3rd-overall-pick/
Bmwolf21 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 EDIT: The Bills' website says that the Bills pick third, after Denver and before Cincinnati: http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2011/01/02/bills-will-have-3rd-overall-pick/ Yep. Here's the top 7, in case anyone cares. http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/24142/bills-will-draft-third-dolphins-15th The order so far: 1. Carolina Panthers 2. Denver Broncos 3. Buffalo Bills 4. Cincinnati Bengals 5. Arizona Cardinals 6. Cleveland Browns 7. San Francisco 49ers
Eleven Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 If available, and probably not (he may not declare, Carolina might give up and take him, Denver may trade the 2d pick), Luck. If not, I want the meanest DL that can be conceived. I want the spawn of Dave Schultz, Marty McSorley, Tony Twist, Bob Probert, and Charles Manson, cross-bred with Roseanne Barr (like the movie "Twins") in cleats.
bob_sauve28 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Eli Manning, Trent Dilfer, Rex Grossman, Donovan McNabb, Jake Dalome, Kerry Collins, Steve McNair, Chris Chandler Are all these guy really so much better than Fitzpatrick? They all took their teams to the big game and some actually won it. Defense still can win championships

Denver's opponents where way behind, like 15 fewer wins.
Marvelo Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 This was one sickening football season. No wonder they call our stadium "The Ralph."

Fire Lindy Ruff NOW Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Is 8-8 an accomplishment? yeah when your da raidersssssssss
SwampD Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Is 8-8 an accomplishment? Absolutely. So, if the bills only get 5 wins next year should Chan be fired? Aren't you the one who said the Bills should only get 4 or 5 wins again next year so that they will get a good pick and be good the next year?
deluca67 Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Absolutely. So, if the bills only get 5 wins next year should Chan be fired? Aren't you the one who said the Bills should only get 4 or 5 wins again next year so that they will get a good pick and be good the next year? 8-8 is Dick Jouron territory. That should not be the goal of any fan or franchise. The Bills should and probably will be around the 4 or 5 win mark. I would like to see them with 1 or 2 to secure Andrew Luck if he stays another year in college. I wouldn't call for Gailey to be fired is they only win a couple of games. Gailey is what he is. A place holder until this team starts building a collection of talent. When the time is right and this team is about to make that upward turn the Bills should go out and hire a quality head coach. Gailey is in the Wade Phillips Norv Turner mode, better coordinators than head coaches.
spndnchz Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 This is kinda cool. U play football online based on your financial skills http://www.practicalmoneyskills.com/games/trainingcamp/ff/play/
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 This is kinda cool. U play football online based on your financial skills http://www.practicalmoneyskills.com/games/trainingcamp/ff/play/ It's worth it just to hear the MNF theme with a Bills helmet involved. I fumbled when I answered wrong to "How much should you pay Tim Connolly next year?"
Eleven Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 This is kinda cool. U play football online based on your financial skills http://www.practicalmoneyskills.com/games/trainingcamp/ff/play/ I loathed the Buffalo News opinion on it. Apparently, we're 27th in financial acuity, according to the News. Idiot/lazy reporter, though, didn't dig into the numbers: Not many of us have played the game. It's based upon how many people play and succeed, not on percentage. Here's the link to the shoddy article: http://www.buffalonews.com/business/article304977.ece

All you need to do is look at ticket sales. Any fan that has spent money on the product the Bills have provided over the last 11 years can't be too bright.
