Stoner Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Got a link? I assume it's his fan page? No, the Official Sabres Page.
spndnchz Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Got a link? I assume it's his fan page? Tweeted by official Sabres tweeter.

nobody Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Shocker of the day that I wasn't already following the official Sabres twitter. For shame! Well you could have gone over to their facebook page instead. ;)
Tyrannustyrannus Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 This is Darcy's dream come true. A cheap player who the fans love.
Eleven Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 This is Darcy's dream come true. A cheap player who the fans love. It's every GM's dream come true, when the fans like the cheap players. No team can have 23 fan favorites making $5M.
jpgr909 Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 It's nice having a player who's truly loathed by other teams and their fans. It's refreshing.
nfreeman Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 I really like Kaleta. I think he has more game than he's shown. If he can stay healthy (a big if), I think he can move up to the 3rd line when Grier and/or Niedermayer depart.
Two or less Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 lol i got this from Bill Hoppe's twitter, i thought it was funny- Patrick Kaleta on a Ilya's long deal versus his two: "17 years from now I might be in a wheelchair, barely moving with my style."
nfreeman Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 lol i got this from Bill Hoppe's twitter, i thought it was funny- that is pretty good. thanks.
Two or less Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Anyone know the terms yet? He will make $860,000 next year and $955,000 in 2011-12. Link- http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/sabres-nhl/article79067.ece
wonderbread Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 That's not a bad deal for him at all. God knows he is more exciting to watch then half the other team. Darcy must of had LQ raking the kids feet over the coals.
deluca67 Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 It's every GM's dream come true, when the fans like the cheap players. No team can have 23 fan favorites making $5M. It's Regier's dream to distract the fans from another completely inept off-season on his part. He timed this to buy him some time until the bar league uniforms are released. How many fourth liners does this team have under contract right now? 10? 15?

Every GM would love this situation.
wonderbread Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Stick to the point. Every GM would love this situation. As far as getting him under contract for 2 years? If so I'd have to agree.

This isn't something to turn into a complaint. Kaleta is a good player.
deluca67 Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Stick to the point. Every GM would love this situation. The Point? Signing popular fourth liners? How many "popular" fourth liners do the Sabres have? Grier? McCormick? Kaleta? Were not Mair and Ellis popular over the past couple of years? It's not that hard. I have a bigger challenge for Regier and the Sabres. How about signing popular players that make a difference? How about signing popular players that can play on the top two lines? I'll care about the Kaleta's of this world once this team addresses it's real needs and problems.
Eleven Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 The Point? Again: It's every GM's dream come true, when the fans like the cheap players. No team can have 23 fan favorites making $5M. That's what you were replying to.
