SDS Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 I think I got most of the skin done, but I really need to refine some stuff as my test board wasn't loaded with posts and multiple forums. Feel free to point out any particularly bothersome colors, or design tidbits. thanks.
Taro T Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 I think I got most of the skin done, but I really need to refine some stuff as my test board wasn't loaded with posts and multiple forums. Feel free to point out any particularly bothersome colors, or design tidbits. thanks. Scott, In IE8 (even after a refresh) a lot of the buttons are now just blank. They still work, but the icons/graphics associated with them aren't showing. Examples: the following emoticons (to name a few)  :wallbash: :censored: ; the sabres logos under avatars; all the buttons for editing posts. But the buttons below the posting box (for attachments 'browse' 'clear selection' and options 'add reply' 'preview post' etc.) are fine. PS - I'm not having these issues w/ IE7. PPS - You seem to have most of them fixed now, except for the missing emoticons. That was quick. Damn you're good. :worthy:
SDS Posted July 21, 2010 Author Report Posted July 21, 2010 Thanks for reminding me on the emoticons. That is fixed. Make sure in IE 8 you are using the right skin. Look for SabreSpace 3.1 in the bottom left corner and reload.

SDS Posted July 21, 2010 Author Report Posted July 21, 2010 The new mobile skin is very nice and I haven't even tweaked it yet. The ipb iPhone app rocks though!
inkman Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Is it supposed to show profile pics instead of avatars (which it didn't show at all before) on the iPhone?
darksabre Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Is it supposed to show profile pics instead of avatars (which it didn't show at all before) on the iPhone? That's what mine is doing too.
SDS Posted July 21, 2010 Author Report Posted July 21, 2010 Is it supposed to show profile pics instead of avatars (which it didn't show at all before) on the iPhone? Yes, because IPB's avatar/photo use is all messed up. People are screaming for a better solution that makes sense. 100's of posts wanting an avatar everywhere and a photo only in the profile with not one person supporting the current implementation. So, we have to wait for them to change it.
SDS Posted July 21, 2010 Author Report Posted July 21, 2010 Iphone users can download this app: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/ip-board-communities/id372597645?mt=8 and add any IPB forums using the the current version!
wjag Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 The new mobile skin is very nice and I haven't even tweaked it yet. The ipb iPhone app rocks though! Looks great on a Droid.
shrader Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 The board keeps upgrading while the posters keep downgrading. Anyway, strangely enough, each time you upgrade, the ancient browser on this work computer always finds some trouble immediately. But so far, it looks really good this time around.
nfreeman Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Outstanding (on both the desktop and the iPhone), as always. Thanks SDS.
Stoner Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Looks good from here, SDS. Even I don't have anything to nitpick about this time. I'd say on Firefox 3.6 for Mac, this was the very definition of a seamless upgrade.
BuffalOhio Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 The new mobile skin is very nice and I haven't even tweaked it yet. The ipb iPhone app rocks though! What's the best way to use it on a Blackberry, Scott? Or isn't there one?
SDS Posted July 21, 2010 Author Report Posted July 21, 2010 What's the best way to use it on a Blackberry, Scott? Or isn't there one? the BB should just automatically load the mobile skin... Is that not happening for you?
Calvin Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 very nice, i like it! maybe a little deeper yellow on the quoted post window?
darksabre Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Damn you Scott I'm addicted to the new mobile browser!
Stoner Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Damn you Scott I'm addicted to the new mobile browser! This is his master plan. One day SDS will provide all of our needs.

spndnchz Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Hey Scott, nice. Only one thing I noticed is the IP Board logo is in the tab and the address bar, not the Sabres logo like before.

Eleven Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Just noticed something cool. Now, when I click on a thread title from the main page, it brings me to the most recent unread post. Previously, it brought me to the first post; to get to the most recent unread, I had to go into the forum first. This is a nice convenience.
