nfreeman Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 per everyone 6-2 center I believe you, but are you sure? I don't see it on TSN, ESPN, Sabres Edge...

shrader Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 http://twitter.com/DarrenDreger http://twitter.com/Real_ESPNLeBrun Nothing special, but it should knock Guastad down to 4th line center, so I'm fine with it.
thesportsbuff Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 ###### awesome. But really? You of all people, the one whos been bitching every time someone makes a thread about signing, make a new thread for it? :P
tom webster Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 I know I keep preaching this, but something more has to be coming. They now have 14 forwards if you count Enis and Gerbe.
DaGimp Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 I know I keep preaching this, but something more has to be coming. They now have 14 forwards if you count Enis and Gerbe. the something more would be new uniforms that would include blue, gold, black, red and white stripped dresses and "man" purses for their "accessories"
will Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 tsn 1yr/$1mil anyone know where to find faceoff stats?
spndnchz Posted July 7, 2010 Author Report Posted July 7, 2010 ###### awesome. But really? You of all people, the one whos been bitching every time someone makes a thread about signing, make a new thread for it? :P Only new threads 4 Sabres signings was the 'rule' I guess. FWIW, I don't make the rules, I just change them.
spndnchz Posted July 7, 2010 Author Report Posted July 7, 2010 tsn 1yr/$1mil anyone know where to find faceoff stats? He was 50.6% last year. Bunch of stats here.
Stoner Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 tsn 1yr/$1mil anyone know where to find faceoff stats? nhl.com is one site that has 'em.
Billfold100 Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 I know I keep preaching this, but something more has to be coming. They now have 14 forwards if you count Enis and Gerbe. I was thinking the same thing. Bieksa is rumored to be available now that Hamhuis is in Vancouver. He's a little injury prone but would fit in the top 4 nicely....Sabres were rumored to have an interest in him two years ago.
static70 Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Depth signing. Don't expect anything special from this guy. This was purely a depth signing for Center. Which in turn, tells me Connolly and Roy aren't going anywhere, but, there should be a trade coming involving a winger or 2. The Sabres now have to many forwards pushing for positions. And don't expect anymore D men, the Sabres are going to run with what they have. I would imagine a RWer is the next step here. Which team to trade with and what type of player are the questions.
thesportsbuff Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 "this team needs grit!" "this team is a bunch of young brats!" "there is no leadership!" Buffalo signs a Neidermayer.. and nobody even cares? Granted he's not SCOTT, but this is an awesome signing in my mind.
nfreeman Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 ###### awesome. But really? You of all people, the one whos been bitching every time someone makes a thread about signing, make a new thread for it? :P A new thread for a Sabres FA signing is 100% appropriate. I know I keep preaching this, but something more has to be coming. They now have 14 forwards if you count Enis and Gerbe. I agree. (Not to mention the hope that Zherdev will make it 15.)
wonderbread Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 A new thread for a Sabres FA signing is 100% appropriate. I agree. (Not to mention the hope that Zherdev will make it 15.) I heard That Neidermeyer was shot by his own men in Vietnam! :pirate:
Calvin Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 i think this signing does fill a lot of gaps.. veteran, center, decent on faceoffs, leadership, he's stable and gets about 16-17 min per game, minimal PP and some SH time.. and at $1mill for one year is definitely a good deal. now how about that top 6 forward and powerplay-quarterback-dman and you won't hear another peep from me until the season begins!
carpandean Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 I heard That Neidermeyer was shot by his own men in Vietnam! :pirate: How's it feel to be an a*****e Niedermayer?
mphs mike Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 How's it feel to be an a*****e Niedermayer? The signing aside, those quotes bring a smile to my face!
static70 Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Could this mean his brother is coming to Buffalo also? One last run together before they retire? :o
shrader Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 I know I keep preaching this, but something more has to be coming. They now have 14 forwards if you count Enis and Gerbe. Either of those guys (especially Gerbe) could still end up in Portland.
