Stoner Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 Henry (pulling out Klinger's file): Here we go. Father dying, right? Klinger: Yes, sir. Henry (going through letters in Klinger's file): Father dying, last year. Mother dying, last year. Mother and father dying. Mother, father and older sister dying. Mother dying and older sister pregnant. Older sister dying and mother pregnant. Younger sister pregnant and older sister dying. Here's an oldie but a goodie: half of the family dying, other half pregnant. (puts file down) Klinger aren't you ashamed of yourself? Klinger: Yes sir. I don't deserve to be in the Army. From memory? I would be impressed. Like the Sabres, M*A*S*H never quite recovered from the loss of their co-captains.
Eleven Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 From memory? I would be impressed. Like the Sabres, M*A*S*H never quite recovered from the loss of their co-captains. I remembered the reference instantly. One of my favorite scenes. Google helped with the rest.
Patty16 Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 Emergency conditions means that the loaning club (Sabres) due to incapacitating injury or illness would be reduced below 2 goalkeepers, 6 defenseman, and 12 forwards. And no, 2 goalkeepers, 6 defensemen and 12 forwards sucking on the ice is not considered and 'emergency' per NHL rules. per bob mckenzie on twitter you mean
spndnchz Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 per bob mckenzie on twitter you mean   Nope, made it up all by myself. Not that hard.

korab rules Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 I guess DR decided to stop talking about talking about signing kassian and actually progressed to talking about signing kassian. Big moves must be imminent, right?
shrader Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 I guess DR decided to stop talking about talking about signing kassian and actually progressed to talking about signing kassian. Big moves must be imminent, right? I'd say the plan with Kassian was pretty obvious. The charges were dropped and then shortly after, he's signed. No coincidence there and I think that was the right way to handle it.
inkman Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 How is Harry Morgan still living? Wow. Dexter's adopted father? He's been dead since the first episode. :-)
shrader Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Dexter's adopted father? He's been dead since the first episode. :-) Spoilers! :D
nobody Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 3 year, 900,000 per for Zack. Sounds like a bargain. That has to be a one-way deal. "... players who were drafted before and after Kassian averaged $4.25 million over three years." http://www.windsorstar.com/sports/Windsor+Spitfire+Zack+Kassian+cashes+with+Sabres/3762126/story.html
Sterling Archer Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Sounds like a bargain. That has to be a one-way deal. "... players who were drafted before and after Kassian averaged $4.25 million over three years." http://www.windsorstar.com/sports/Windsor+Spitfire+Zack+Kassian+cashes+with+Sabres/3762126/story.html No. that's a two way entry level deal.
Eleven Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 No. that's a two way entry level deal. How do you know this? nobody's conclusion makes a lot of sense.
Sherman Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 Avery's problem is that he runs his mouth and makes an ###### of himself both on and off the ice. A few years back he was getting in trouble for waving his stick in his face to distract him while the Rangers were on the powerplay (not technically a penalty, but idiotic and not how you play the game). That's not Kassian's game. He's extremely tough and aggressive, and clearly it gets the better of him when he throws dirty hits or gets arrested for fighting. He's just a dumb teenager who needs to grow up. Comparing him to Avery is way off. Wasn't Pronger arrested when he was 18 for getting in a bar fight? I think this is a tough kid who needs to mature just like Pronger did. I would be happy if his game was anything like Brendan Shanahan. He could score and kick your butt.
shrader Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 How do you know this? nobody's conclusion makes a lot of sense. All entry level deals are required to be two-way. The number reported in that link must be the total money over those 3 years because the top three from that draft (Tavares, Hedman, Duchene) all have cap hits below $4 million. I still have no clue how the bonuses are structured for these big rookies, but that $4.25 million figure seems to be pulled out of someone's ass.

I would be happy if his game was anything like Brendan Shanahan. He could score and kick your butt. Shane Corson got in trouble for a bar fight when he was a kid too. And I am sure there are others. No biggee from where I am sitting. Heck, Pronger's bar fight happened right here in Buffalo at Jim Kelly's bar. And he was underage.
spndnchz Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 It appears Kassian will be traded (in Juniors). At six-foot-three and 225 pounds, Kassian combines both size and skill that few power forwards in the league possess. "Kassian has the best combination of skill and toughness in the CHL and you need that to win in the playoffs," Rychel said. "At the Memorial Cup (in Brandon), neither one of the western teams wanted any part of him. They wouldn't look him in the eyes." http://www.windsorstar.com/sports/Ellis+Kassian+trade+block/3797674/story.html#ixzz14n7EAI56

You move out that soon to be graduating senior to a team who wants to win now in exchange for some hot shot freshmen.
nobody Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 How many 2nd round picks does each team get per year?
