First off, Mike Weber apparently accepted his qualifying offer. One-year, two-way contract with $55/$550 for AHL/NHL salaries.

A friend told me Kennedy accepted his as well but that would surprise me.

Apparently his agent didn't know the Sabres are counting on Weber being in Buffalo this season. Considering no one else on the farm is NHL ready he should have been able to cash in.

Considering no one else on the farm is NHL ready he should have been able to cash in. Sometimes guys want to make a statement. Its not like he had a lot of leverage anyway. Plus, if he plays well he will have a lot more leverage next year,
