Foligno's Nose Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 How do you not bring Marty back for that price? Infuse a little personality on this team while providing probably the best bang for your buck in a back-up goalie. Why would you not want this guy on your team? Another Darcy f-up...and I like the guy. This is a mistake. I mean I expect to be dissapointed today with the flacid Sabres player movement, but come on. Just venting. I'll get over it.
G-Daddy Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 (E4) Darcy seen leaving his house to head to the office :nana: Detour....someone just spotted him at Tim Horton's picking up donuts, coffee and sandwiches for the office.
CallawaySabres Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Just get a freakin' partner for Myers and I'll be happy. A top gun type of partner - would have loved Gonchar even at 3 years

Marty hasnt been good since he left. look at his numbers, he's been dreadful. I dont expect much either maybe a 3rd liner or scrub dman. IF they dont improve i certainly will not be renewing my minipak, almost didnt last year.
spndnchz Posted July 1, 2010 Author Report Posted July 1, 2010 McGuire on TSN mentioned one team, other than NJD has a significant offer in for Paul Martin. Com'on SABRES!!!
CallawaySabres Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Well Ottawa made their big move, Boston made some big moves,Toronto has made some moves, Montreal makes so many moves all the time it is tough to keep track and then..wait, I know I am missing someone....cue the backup goalie and 4th line move
spndnchz Posted July 1, 2010 Author Report Posted July 1, 2010 Technically a RFA but St Louis Blues have re-signed Alex Steen to a four-year contract extension.
deluca67 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 TSNBobMcKenzie: Savard to CGY for Regher is a serious consideration for both teams, but Savard has not yet been asked to waive NTC by BOS. Stay tuned. That would make me sick to my stomach.

wonderbread Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 McGuire on TSN mentioned one team, other than NJD has a significant offer in for Paul Martin. Com'on SABRES!!! TSNBobMcKenzie: Deal is not done yet, stress that, but Paul Martin eager to sign in PIT and PIT eager to sign him. Working towards that. Stay tuned.

Marty wouldn't have been an earth-shaking move, but we would FINALLY have a reliable back-up, and it would've been popular with the fans ... One move that I figured even Darcy couldn't screw up.

How reliable? He is very overrated by some here.
spndnchz Posted July 1, 2010 Author Report Posted July 1, 2010 I feel a quiet before the storm. Hope the Sabres get in it before the scraps r all that's left.
spndnchz Posted July 1, 2010 Author Report Posted July 1, 2010 Not a UFA until 2011-12 but Lightning have signed Martin St. Louis to a 4-year contract extension. 4 years 22.5 million, 5.625 per. 400k raise. One of those 35+ contracts, he'll be 40 when contracts done.
Patty16 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 I feel a quiet before the storm. Hope the Sabres get in it before the scraps r all that's left. Gotta wait for the "market to be set" before saying "the prices were too steep" Sabres have never been big on FA and this years crop is thin anyway. No one out there excites me as FA.

nobody Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Detour....someone just spotted him at Tim Horton's picking up donuts, coffee and sandwiches for the office. Darcy spotted heading back home - forgot the key to his office.
ThePebble19 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Darcy spotted heading back home - forgot the key to his office. Got the key...heading to Kinko's, because his fax machine is broken.
ROC Sabres Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Darcy spotted heading back home - forgot the key to his office. Darcy tracking is so much more fun than free agency tracking.
damj Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Darcy spotted heading back home - forgot the key to his office. He just stopped at Delaware park for a nice walk to clear his head.
spndnchz Posted July 1, 2010 Author Report Posted July 1, 2010 Michalek to Pitt, 5 x $4 million That's good. Pitts out of the Martin race. Blues re-sign Vladimir Sobotka, one year, 750,000.
Swedesessed Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Darcy Regier just got a #2 value meal from McDonalds, with a vanilla shake including a No Trade Clause (e5)
ROC Sabres Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Darcy Regier just got a #2 value meal from McDonalds, with a vanilla shake including a No Trade Clause (e5) Damn, I was hoping I could swap fries for his shake.
