inkman Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 Can Kassian even get into the States yet? According to the article on the front of Sabrespace he'll be there. That's either really cool or shoddy journalism. Hope it's the former. Any camp attendees, we want reports!!
Eleven Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 Forget video, If Kassian is there will someone please yell, "I hear Drew Stafford called you a pu$$y?" Awesome. Even better--do it at the bar after practice.
Stoner Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 To be followed by fall and winter development camp, October something to April something.
damj Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 Kassian was there. All the prospects except Weber ... Butler, Ennis, Gerbe were there ... even Meyers was there. p.s. ... Darcy was even there and signed a hockey player ... though it was my son's cast, but that's gotta count for something ... LOL
carpandean Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 p.s. ... Darcy was even there and signed a hockey player ... though it was my son's cast, but that's gotta count for something ... LOL Is he a forward? Size and grit?

LOL They bring in anyone who is either in the middle of their entry level contract or a draft pick. Weber's entry level deal just ended (and he's currently not under contract at all), so that's why he wasn't there. I would assume Gragnani wasn't either as he's in the same boat.

shrader Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 Weber apparently accepted his qualifying offer. Good, and probably a smart move from Weber instead of trying to go the Mancari route.
damj Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 Is he a forward? Size and grit? Yeah, he's Darcy's kind of player ... small, fast and skilled, but inconsistent ...
spndnchz Posted July 6, 2010 Report Posted July 6, 2010 I'd like to thank the Sabres 4 letting everyone know that they canceled this afternoons camp and changed the time to 11 am or something. At least I got some cheap gas while in lewiston.
spndnchz Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 Anyone going today? I read they changed the time the other day so they could go sailing for some "bonding time". vids r on sabres.com.
Bullwinkle Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 Could the US government stop him if he made up his mind to come? There is no chin under Kassian's beard -- just another shoulder. And there are no brains in his head - just cement.
nfreeman Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 And there are no brains in his head - just cement. Did you not make any mistakes at age 18? I think you're being a bit quick to judge him. Let's see how he reacts to this bit of trouble before we write him off.
shrader Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 And there are no brains in his head - just cement. I'm not crazy about Kassian, but comments like this one are just absurd. You don't know a thing about the kid outside of two incidents yet you feel confident enough to say things like this.
Mbossy Posted July 9, 2010 Author Report Posted July 9, 2010 Alright, I went yesterday with my Flip camera and did a bunch of videos. Please don't rag me for my video abilities. Best if you watch it fullscreen in HD so you can see some of the numbers/names. Youtube takes a while to make them HD so give it a while, I'm still trying to upload more. I have the roster sheet that has the player #'s, I'll try to scan a pdf of it. Here's the first one: double click on it, you go to YouTube to view, make sure you do 720HD. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0f3mqER2ao

Mbossy Posted July 9, 2010 Author Report Posted July 9, 2010 I set up a Youtube site for just these vids, I've got about 14 of them. Most of the game actually. Go here: http://www.youtube.c...ser/MbossySabre No commercials or crap like that. Just vids. Make sure you watch in 720HD full screen, it's pretty sweet. (Flip HD camera)
Stoner Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 Thanks for doing this Mbossy. And why would we rag on your video skills? You're doing a better job than half the cameramen in the NHL!
