So here they are on the eve of the draft: - Chiarelli is trying to put together a big deal packaging Savard and Thomas - Burke has five offers for Kaberle, one of them is from LA and one is from the Sabres - Atlanta is interested in trading their 15th pick obtained from the Bruins for an offensive player (Connolly I hope?) So regardless of the disparaging remarks about Darcy, it's obvious that he has offers out there and is trying to improve the team.

And if so, does Maggy really love Bert, or is she only pretending to do so to get close to the son with the dummy on his lap? How is it obvious Darcy has offers out there and is trying to improve the team? Have you had conversations with Burke about who has made offers for kaberle, have you spoke to the Thrashers to know that Conolly is being proposed in a deal for the #15 spot, or atleast that the Sabres have inquired about it? Its just as likely that he has been working the phones for a bunch of deals as it is that he has been sitting on his hands just waiting for fans to embrace waiting on youngsters like Roy and Conolly to develop into their potential

But we do know an offer is on the table, like it was for Horton. You're never going to get the specifics of failed offers but it's obvious that he's out there trying.

Florida Panthers are shopping the 15th overall pick. The Maple Leafs, Oilers and Islanders are among the teams interested. Ian White rights dealt today or tomorrow. Versteeg available, asking a 1st round pick. Marc Savard being shopped and he is generating some interest. Ribeiro dealt tonight.

nobody Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 I'll start a rumor - the Sabres are looking to trade for the 4th, 5th, 8th & 15th picks! They plan to offer up Philip Gogulla, Marek Zagrapan, Vjacheslav Buravchikov & 2011 2nd and 3rd round picks.

Bullwinkle Posted June 25, 2010 Author Report Posted June 25, 2010 Further rumors - and I'm not making this up.... - Burke now has 6 solid and 6 "interested" offers for Kaberle - Chicago looking to move up in the draft by offering Fla Versteeg + their 1st round choice for Fla's 3rd - While on Chicago, they still need to move another forward for cap reasons. Will probably be Versteeg or Ladd - NJ will try to keep Martin but failing that, will go for Souray - Bruins getting no takers for their Savard/Thomas package. Thomas might stay because of all the goalies out there vs. his salary (5 m), so it might be Savard that goes - but he as a NTC - Vancouver offered 25th pick + a player for Versteeg - Flyers having trouble in talks w Hamhuis + they have to sign Coburn...if they pay him more they won't be able to afford a veteran goalie and may resign Leighton - Flyers need to reduce payroll...Carter most likely to be shopped (to LA for Bernier?) - Connolly's name is out there among centers being shopped around - Montreal is going after Biron
