Stoner Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Tom Jolls was hanging low that day. http://www.wunderground.com/history/airport/KBUF/1975/5/22/DailyHistory.html?req_city=Buffalo&req_state=NY&req_statename=New+York Almost as warm on Tuesday in Buffalo, yet I don't think anyone seemed to notice. I recall the heat wave of May 1975. It was a big deal. Is this perception gap evidence of global warming?
That Aud Smell Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 i'm a bit too young to recall the unseasonable warmth of may 1975. it's an interesting point you raise about the ho-hum attitude about the warmth we've experienced this spring -- i was looking at pictures of the kids from april and thinking it looked like they were dressed for july. then again, it did snow on mother's day this year; the gloomy start to this may has tended to even out the monthly stats for the month. you know what may was hotter than balls? may 2007 -- my wife delivered (a baby) at the end of the month. and may was just the beginning -- that entire summer was a sweat box.
carpandean Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 May 20, 1975? Ah, yes, really tested the absorption capacity of my diapers will all the sweat.
That Aud Smell Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 you know what may was hotter than balls? may 2007 in fairness, i recall this may being hotter than balls in/around 2008.
