LabattBlue Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 For those interested in seeing Zach Kassian play, at least some of the games(maybe all of them?) will be televised on the NHL Network. http://www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=58058 http://mastercardmemorialcup.com/

Finally, some hockey I can watch without having to upgrade my DTV service to include Versus.

Eleven Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 NHL Network is down on my cable (TWC, Buffalo). Dammit.
carpandean Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Didn't see it, but Windsor got the win, 6-2, and guaranteed themselves a spot in the Championship game. Kassian had an assist. Taylor Hall had 2G and 1A.
mphs mike Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Saw the scond half of the game. In the third Kassian had an unbelievabkle play - he had the puck behind the Clagary net for a long time - the announcers said 30 seconds and it may have been - he finally got a pass off and ended up with the assist.

I didn't watch the whole game, but I did notice on several occasions that he was very strong along the boards in terms of puck control. He wasn't a standout from what I saw, but hopefully training camp will provide a better indication of what his immediate future holds.
Mbossy Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 The highlights are on SabresTV. http://sabres.nhl.tv/team/console.jsp?catid=35&id=69930 Kassian around 7 minute mark.

Windsor is a great team so it may be tough to stand out against the likes of Taylor Hall, Adam Henrique and Ryan Ellis. But, Kassian just screams 3rd liner in the NHL to me. I hope I'm wrong though.
spndnchz Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 Spitfires win 9-1 to capture Memorial Cup. Kassian finished the 2009-10 season with 31 points (12+19) in 38 games. He also got 16 points (7+9) in 19 playoff games.
