LabattBlue Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 I am beside myself knowing that the Bruins or the Flyers(both could have easily missed the playoffs) will be in the conference finals. WTF!
shrader Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 1-2-3-5 in the west 4-6-7-8 in the east One of each seed advanced. It reminds me a lot of 2006 when it was 1-2-3-4 in the east and 5-6-7-8 in the west. So does that mean Montreal makes a run this year? Not likely, but I'd say just about anything's possible in the east right now.
VansTheMans Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 2nd round discussions? Not much to discuss in the entire Eastern Conference. The Western Conference however has some EPIC match ups. :worthy:
Buffalo Wings Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 I really was hoping to see the Caps move on. It's a good fan base (though they didn't show up until they started winning) and they *were* fun to watch. Plus it would be someone other than Pittsburgh as the favorite. I like the West matchups - I'm pulling for San Jose to eliminate another yearly attendant in Detroit.
wjag Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 There's a second round? How come no one told us fans?
Supersabre Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 I've kind of lost interest now that the Sabres are eliminated. :(
LabattBlue Posted April 29, 2010 Author Report Posted April 29, 2010 I really was hoping to see the Caps move on. So did any network that is televising the playoffs. ;)

Yeah, turns out I really hate all the remaining teams in the East, and I really like all the teams remaining in the West. Pulling for San Jose as well. Pittsburgh's got to be the favorite in the East by far now, but of course anything can happen! West is anybody's conference now, should be exciting. The second round is perhaps my favorite - still a ton of hockey, but we don't have to miss any games (watching live at least).
VansTheMans Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 I see the Wings eliminating the Sharks in 6 games.
Buffalo Wings Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 There's a second round? How come no one told us fans? Don't worry - they forgot to tell the Sabres, too.
Assquatch Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 There's a second round? How come no one told us fans? Don't worry - they forgot to tell the Sabres, too. Someone forgot to tell the Sabres there was a first round.
Stoner Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 Someone forgot to tell the Sabres there was a first round. OHHHHHHHH. Cold.
notwoz Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 Someone forgot to tell the Sabres there was a first round. I'd like to see Pittsburgh and Boston advance, if only to see how the Bruins react to seeing Matt Cooke in the playoffs.
carpandean Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Wow, 3 goals by the Sharks in less than 2 minutes.
deluca67 Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 So did any network that is televising the playoffs. ;) Pittsburgh vs Montreal Philly vs Boston I wouldn't be too upset if I were a TV Exec.
shrader Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Pittsburgh vs Montreal Philly vs Boston I wouldn't be too upset if I were a TV Exec. Pittsburgh vs. Montreal won't draw at all in the States.
deluca67 Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Pittsburgh vs. Montreal won't draw at all in the States. Will any match-up?
shrader Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Will any match-up? They at least get some viewers if that second team wasn't Montreal. These series always sell best in the home markets, but NBC or Vs. doesn't have a market in Montreal to sell to.
Sabre Dance Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 2nd round discussions? Not much to discuss in the entire Eastern Conference. The Western Conference however has some EPIC match ups. :worthy: Seriously? Boston and Philly have not met in the playoffs since 1978 - I'd say grab a brew, sit back and watch them try to annihilate each other!
spndnchz Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 HoHum. Margarita night without the Sabres. Just won't be the same.
SwampD Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 HoHum. Margarita night without the Sabres. Just won't be the same. Is "margarita" code for something else, because I don't see any drinks in those hands?
bunomatic Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 Cooke puts Markov out with hit,Habs lose 6-3 to Pens.Scabs are done like dinner.
wjag Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 The more you watch the Pens, the more you see what constitutes a SC roster 1-- A couple of 1st line, finishing forwards 2-- A few 2nd line, on any given night forwards, 3-- A couple nasty D-men 4-- A 2.1-2.3 GAA goalie 5--And a PP that rings up 20% or better with a PK that defends 85% or better.

OK, so the scariest [team] imaginable. That's all you gotta say; scariest [team] imaginable.
