spndnchz Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 It's been along season, frustrating at times. Right now I just want to see them play on play Monday. Maybe it's the last home win of the season but I want it. Too late to change ownership, Lindy, Darcy. Not too late to change a line or two, get Vanek back. IMO you play Torres on a top line, keep Cody in and play ur best. Just get me to Monday.
Corp000085 Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Just get me to Saturday! I've gotta cut the lawn on Saturday and I surely won't do a good job if I'm kicking my mower at the same time. I currently don't have much of a glimmer of hope for this series, but I still can see the light for Friday night. Just win baby!
CallawaySabres Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 I have no doubt in my mind that this series is going to game 7
Taro T Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 I have no doubt in my mind that this series is going to game 7 Hope you're right. I don't see them losing tomorrow night. Game 6 could be interesting.
Stoner Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 I really don't want to add a home overtime loss to the pantheon of Lindy Ruff elimination games.
nobody Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 I really don't want to add a home overtime loss to the pantheon of Lindy Ruff elimination games. Would a 4-1 loss make you happier?
nfreeman Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 I wish I could say I felt confident about tomorrow night, but I don't. The last time the Sabres played a double OT game, they lost to Ottawa in the 2007 ECF. They came out the next game hung over, slow and dispirited. It's hard to be confident that this team won't play tomorrow night as if they know it's already over. Also (and critically), the Sabres' top scorers have been completely eliminated from this series. I can't feel confident that the other guys can produce more than 2 goals against a tough, sound defensive Bruins team. But I'll be watching and hoping. Let's go, Buffalo!
Taro T Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 I really don't want to add a home overtime loss to the pantheon of Lindy Ruff elimination games. What, you don't want to move to 5 times being eliminated at home during Lindy's tenure and having every one of them end in OT?
spndnchz Posted April 22, 2010 Author Report Posted April 22, 2010 What, you don't want to move to 5 times being eliminated at home during Lindy's tenure and having every one of them end in OT? Lindy's 5-1 in the first round. That's the number I'm sticking with.
VansTheMans Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Just gotta win 2 games. 2 games, and we get to game 7. Anything can happen. Sabres. :worthy: I'm just hoping Vanek is healthy enough to make a positive impact on Friday.
shack & duff Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 It's time for the top liners to step up. If they had at almost any point in this series we'd be at least tied. It's a shame they are in this hole (especially to this offensively-challenged team) and we have to conjure up long shot scenarios for them to a seventh game. But, what else is there to do so "go Sabres!"
bunomatic Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 I have a feeling about tomorrow night and I think it'll be our role guys that are going to come through for us.They've shown a lot of balls this whole series and the heart and soul of this team has been the 3rd and 4th line.Them and the D and of course Miller. The top 6 have been all but shut down.If anyone comes through it'll be a Mair or Grier or McCormick. One of the guys thats hurtin from all the bangin is gonna finally get rewarded. One game at a time.We can do it tomorrow.I believe.

You could see this from the two games in Boston - Grier, Kennedy (save for the Recchi hit), Gaustad, and Torres were all playing well. Grier should have even had the GWG if Rask didn't do an all-out body dive to save his shot. I agree with chz about McCormick, but I don't know about putting Torres on a top line...especially if Vanek is back. The 3rd & 4th lines have been doing well enough that I don't see a need to change them. Either way, let's go! I'm ready.
Rico7 Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 I've been saying the same thing, just win tonight and get me to Monday. It will make the weekend much better.
Tyrannustyrannus Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 I have no doubt in my mind that this series is going to game 7 yeah, so it can be as soul crushing as possible when they lose in OT, this time Paille scoring the game winner. Honestly, they have been 4 very close games, I wouldn't be too surprised. Montreal did it in 2003.

Honestly, they have been 4 very close games, I wouldn't be too surprised. Montreal did it in 2003. And because they've been very close games, the result can go either way. Of course, stupid mistakes help those results go in a specific direction. Right now, I just want to get to 7:05pm.

Corp000085 Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 Now we really have to get to monday. For the first time all playoffs, I've got that gut feeling inside of me that can't let me be patient...

Taro T Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Monday Monday MONDAY!!!!!!!! One more game just one more game baby!!!!! Me, I'd prefer to see 2 more. (And more specifically yet, 2 more W's.) But, hey, to each his/her own. ;)
Guest Sloth Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 I shiit you not, I had a dream last night the Sabres beat the Bruins 4-1 in game six. The Sabres controlled the game from the drop of the puck to the final buzzer. Man, I hope it actually happens.
