bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 really wished we had lost some of those 3rd period leads earlier this year blown 2 this series
mrjsbu96 Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Game set match.....get out the golf clubs Sabres. And time to dump Quinn, Darcy and Ruff.....clean house. i don't get this dude.....they just played their balls off tonight....do we really need to clean house and start over, and with who? there is definitely some housecleanign that needs to be done, and we are gonna need a few different type of players, but do we realy want to start over? besides...is this series over? you still have to win 4 games...
matter2003 Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 2nd time in a row team loses with a lead heading into the 3rd period after they were 30-0 during the regular season. Worst of all it happens against a team that scored the fewest goals in the NHL, and a team that had only won 3 games all year long when they were trailing by 2 goals at any point in the game. Really just inexcusable for the Sabres to have lost games 2 and 4...
rickshaw Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 I told my son that Satan would win it before the PP. I also told him, he's 11, that they are the type of penalty that kill a team. Bottom line. We played great tonight and lost. Miller let in a softie to allow it to be tied. He doesn't have to make miraculous saves if he makes that save. Our PP has zero goals. That will not cut it. Clearly you cannot go 4 games without a PP goal.
Assquatch Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Grier took a nice leisurely glide instead of tying up Miro on the GWG.
Stoner Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Dammit. And I can't watch game 5. Please, let me see at least one more--I mean, fifteen more--Sabres games this year. I'm afraid you were right about the Sabres spending themselves early in the first OT. "Not the outcome Sabres fans wanted." Kevin, you have such a way with words.
Crestwood Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Literally one minute after I thought to myself, If Boston wins, it's going to be because Miller got caught too far out of the net …
Bmwolf21 Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 His name is Tim Connolly. Right now no one except for Miller and Myers should be safe. PTR +1 on both counts. Guys who really pissed me off in the 2nd OT: Kennedy, Grier, Connolly, Lydman, Stafford. Lydman was a GWG waiting to happen. EDIT: Not sure if it was Kennedy or Ennis who kept pissing me off. Don't care.
26CornerBlitz Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 is there a bigger piece of garbage on this team than Stafford? He's such a dumb hockey player......what a waste of physical talent.
PromoTheRobot Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 This just goes to show how little the regular season means. There is no way this team is the 3rd best in the East. We are a fraud. We have small players who get overmatched and big players who shrink and disappear when the crap starts flying. Playoffs? Who cares. PTR
Claude_Verret Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Well if any good comes from this I think Stafford has to have played his last game in a Sabres uniform. To be honest though, bad calls or not, championship teams don't surrender 2 goals leads heading into the third.
notwoz Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Game set match.....get out the golf clubs Sabres. And time to dump Quinn, Darcy and Ruff.....clean house. Beat me to it, glad to see that we're of the same mind.

Not now.
sabresfan36 Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 I really wish I could say this wa a fair played game but the refs really dictated the outcome.
Guest Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 is there a bigger piece of garbage on this team than Stafford? Yeah Lydman tonight. He was a disgrace. Get ready for what could be the most miserable Bills season we have seen in a LONG time. Sabres win division, 1 and done. Bills, might be able to win 3 games this year, but I doubt it. Man it get's worse being a Buffalo pro sports fan EVERY STINKIN YEAR! GO AMERKS, it's all I got left.
North Buffalo Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 I have been advocating getting rid of that dumb @#$%@#$ since last year. Now I hope his fate is sealed.... numb nuts.
Robviously Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Right now no one except for Miller and Myers should be safe. PTR I'd add Ennis to the list.
North Buffalo Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 I really wish I could say this wa a fair played game but the refs really dictated the outcome. Refs didn't help, but Stafford is an idiot....
PromoTheRobot Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 I really wish I could say this wa a fair played game but the refs really dictated the outcome. Not really. One goal yes, but good teams suck it up, not go into the fetal position. PTR
FogBat Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 I sure hope the officials are proud of the work they did in this game tonight, because the rest of us would like to wave white flags at them. :pirate: :wallbash:
mrjsbu96 Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Not now. sorry man, i can't give up faith now....i just thought they played too damn hard tonight. we have been pushed around and BOS is more physical, but we will lost this series b/c of special teams. You have to score a few PP goals in the playoffs, especialy in tight games...
SDS Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Beat me to it, glad to see that we're of the same mind. super - a pair of losers. you should trade phone numbers.
Stoner Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Literally one minute after I thought to myself, If Boston wins, it's going to be because Miller got caught too far out of the net … The Bruins have taken advantage of Miller's aggressiveness in the series. It'll be interesting to see who gets fingered on the too many men penalty. Lindy took the blame for one a few weeks ago.
