shrader Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 The Captain brings the crowd back into it. Here, here Tim Kennedy Buffalo: :worthy: :worthy: Boston: :censored: I'm glad you mentioned him because he deserves at least half the credit on that one.
SabresRepublic Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Rivet -- who'd a thunk it After the first few minutes of the game officiating changes the complexion of the game! However, Boston surely must know this is KENNEDY country!!! Kennedy was brilliant setting that goal up! GO BUFFALO SABRES!!!
TheMatrix31 Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 C'mon Vanek, gotta be smarter than that bro!
wjag Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Not a great period, but a back breaking goal..
TheMadCap Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 not sure who that was but Myers just drilled that guy!
NowDoYouBelieve Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 I guess that 30-0-0 when leading after two periods is going to be put to the test... Am I the only one who suddenly despises that statistic?
theend Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 2nd period thoughts - - First 2/3rds of this period were the complete opposite of the 1st - Rivet's goal turned the momentum back (even with the penalty, the kill got confidence and prevented any really good chances) - Dare I mention the Sabres record leading after 2 periods?...
wjag Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 I guess that 30-0-0 when leading after two periods is going to be put to the test... Am I the only one who suddenly despises that statistic? Not me. They earned it.
Stoner Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 C mon Miller The top of the net is always going to be available.
Stoner Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 I guess that 30-0-0 when leading after two periods is going to be put to the test... Am I the only one who suddenly despises that statistic? What was I saying the other day?!
NowDoYouBelieve Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Not me. They earned it. Well yeah, obviously. But the usually subdued superstitious side of me hates it for the jinx value.
wjag Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Big time Alamo mode coming up. This is going to be a tough period to watch..
theend Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 The top of the net is always going to be available. Good butterfly goalies almost always leave it open. The majority of shots do not go 'top shelf'.
Stoner Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Sabres and the fans seemed to spend themselves in the first period. That cursed power play is the root of all evil. Boston just feasted off those early turnovers to take over the game. Rivet's goal was morbidly obese. Vanek is one strange animal. On the one forecheck, his legs just went dead on him. Then obviously he wasn't moving his legs at center and for no good reason had to trip Lucic.
theend Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 PA...I have a guess as to what your picture is. Do you prefer a public guess or a PM?
novascotiaguy Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 The top of the net is always going to be available. Yup it will just did not like the rebound.
wjag Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 If nothing else, an improvement in the faceoffs is critical this period. Losing way too many..
wjag Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Let's set the tone for the rest of this series. I say they have Ennis take a run at Chara. He has him running scared. He is a pylon out there when Ennis has the puck. Go RIGHT at him and then skate around him.
Iron Crotch Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 It looks like a Bruins powerplay out there.
wjag Posted April 16, 2010 Report Posted April 16, 2010 Must be that end of the ice tonight. All the play seems to be in that end.. Either way, with the exception of that last Boston shift, Buffalo has done much better in this period.
