In case Washington were to lose its first round clash against Montreal

  1. 1. What should the Sabres do in case our series against Boston is still active?

    • The team should concede our playoff series against Boston right away, otherwise abandon the series.

    • They should play on as if nothing happened

    • They should look to trade their playoff position to a Western Conference Team in exchange for theirs if the League allows it

In that case, we would face Ottawa or the Pens in the next round and a well rested New Jersey in the finals, should we reach them.

Shall we pray that Washington win their series - I am kind of undecided.

We could also play Montreal if they beat Washington and Philly beats New Jersey. We'd also be the top seed in the East at that point. That's why they play the games, people!

The latter half of that equation, PHI beating NJ, is a least somewhat likely. Philly took the season series 5-1.
