I should probably wait for the complaint thread for this, but I cannot stand the T-shirt giveaways where the whole playoff crowd is wearing the same color. It's so forced and cheesy. If everyone was wearing maroon maybe, but I don't think of white when I think of Phoenix.

Was anybody else less than impressed with Pittsburgh's effort last night? For example, Kris Letang might've been able to break up Ottawa's third goal (the flukey one off the end boards) had he dove with his stick stretched out. Instead, he didn't even lift a skate and barely stuck his stick out. Shameful. That goal was a back-breaker.

I'm not sure if it has been discussed already or not, but when does everyone think we will get to see our first marathon OT game of this playoff season? Is there anything better than that extended period of time with no TV timeouts?

I have Center Ice and there are no games scheduled today. Any other CI subscribers experiencing this?

770 and 771 will be the Bruins at Sabres on DirecTV Center Ice

Time Warner cable in NE Ohio has it on channel 753 - so CI must be showing it.

They're getting more chances than the Caps are. I might be a bit worried if I was a Caps fan.

Yes you might. Boom! 1-0 Habs.

So through seven first-round games, the favorites (BUF, VAN) have won only two (yes, DET was favored at PHX). All one-goal games. Amazing. It really is anybody's tournament.

That almost seems impossible.

It's a bit misleading, because in the few snippets I watched the game, Alex took a couple of shots towards the goal, but they weren't on goal. I don't know how often that happened during the game, but it's still interesting that he didn't officially register a SOG.

If I remember the stats correctly, he had 5 shots blocked and 3 missed the net, for a total of 8 shots (none of which ever hit the goalie or back of the next).

Yikes!!! 18 seconds in Regin gets a 35 foot snap shot top shelf on Fleury with NO ONE in front of the net.

I know it's a friday night and the Sabres aren't playing, so noboby's on the board, but I am concerned about the Pens-Sens series. So far in the second game, the Pens look completely outclassed by the Sens (ugh).

The pace in the two Pens-Sens games has been furious.. scary really.

Wonder if they can keep that intensity up for the 4-7 games it'll take in the series.

Does this kind of opening series take a toll on the winning team for future series?
