nfreeman Posted April 23, 2010 Report Posted April 23, 2010 Sorry, had to fix that for you. Good fix.
Buffalo Wings Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 Habs stay alive...gutsy win over the Caps.
Assquatch Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 Wow Blackhawks were down by a goal with the goalie pulled when Hossa took a major penalty with about a minute left. They got the goalie back on the bench and scored a shorthanded goal with 18 seconds left to send it to OT. They killed off the last 4 minutes of the penalty in OT and Hossa stepped back on the ice and won it seconds later.

Reminded me a lot of Game 5 vs NYR in 2007...miracle goal late in regulation and game-winner in OT.
carpandean Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Two down in the East. Pittsburgh comes back from down 0-3, ties it and then wins it in OT.
NowDoYouBelieve Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Two down in the East. Pittsburgh comes back from down 0-3, ties it and then wins it in OT. It's a little weird...there's so much consternation here about how the Sabres can't be the Sens, but they're gone just as quickly as we'll be if we lose tomorrow. When the Sens jumped ahead 3-0 in today's game, I thought we had the whole "matchup of destiny" thing going on...I guess not.
Eleven Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Two down in the East. Pittsburgh comes back from down 0-3, ties it and then wins it in OT. From what I have heard--and I did not get to see the game--Crosby (I mean Pittsburgh) was "helped" again. True or no?
carpandean Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 From what I have heard--and I did not get to see the game--Crosby (I mean Pittsburgh) was "helped" again. True or no? There was a waived off goal. If I remember correctly, it was shown on the replay to not cross the line, but I may be mixing up games. Edit: Pittsburgh had the goal that didn't cross the line; the Sens' overturned goal went in after the net was off. Pittsburgh had one waived off late when Malkin was pushed into the goaltender, so they weren't getting too much help.

bunomatic Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 I'm certainly not a big Crosby fan but for all the Crosby haters out there you can't take anything away from him in that series. He's been absolutely huge for them.I'm not sure of the correct number but he had something like 15 points in 5 games.
wjag Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 I can only imagine what the Sens board is like today after blowing a 3-0 lead half way into the game. That disallowed goal was a series changer.
carpandean Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 That disallowed goal was a series changer. Which one? There were three in that game: two Penguins', one Sens'.
carpandean Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Not looking good for the Red Wings. On the same penalty, they gave up a shorty, then drew another penalty and failed to cash in on a lengthy 5-on-3. The "rules" would say that they don't deserve to win.
SwampD Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Has anybody mentioned in the last ten minutes that they hate Mike Milbury. Okay then, I'll do it. I ###### hate Mike Milbury. He adds nothing to the broadcast.

bunomatic Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Who really takes Mike Milbury serious anyways. He helped build many of the teams in this league into contenders with Islanders draft picks. He will probably go down as one of the worst GM'S in league history with some of his deals. What a punk.

He adds nothing to the broadcast. I had to laugh when he insisted on watching the Boychuk/Ellis hit over and over during the intermission. He kept shouting "Again!" Again!" I thought to myself: "He sounds just like one of my kids when they were younger" and then he said out loud "I sound just like a little kid. Again! Again!"
Assquatch Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Where's the puck? http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/console?catid=35&id=67507

Well, now I've seen the Ottawa disallowed goal, which is the one my friend complained about. Tough call, but it looks to me like they got it right.
shrader Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Each year NBC has someone trying to become the American Don Cherry. First it was Brett Hull, now it's Milbury. It will never end with them.
deluca67 Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Looking at the game preview for tonight's Kings/Canucks match-up I have to ask a question. How good will the Canucks be if Luongo returns to form? His 3.11 gaa and .882 save percentage is shocking. He was shaky in the Gold medal game, is he officially on the downside at 31?
deluca67 Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Each year NBC has someone trying to become the American Don Cherry. First it was Brett Hull, now it's Milbury. It will never end with them. The only way to get a "American Don Cherry" is for Rush Limbaugh and Liberace to have a child together.
Stoner Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 Where's the puck? http://video.nhl.com...tid=35&id=67507 That's hilarious. I bet Roy would have found that puck a lot quicker than Toews did.
Buffalo Wings Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 I'm becoming more impressed with Phoenix. Good, hard-hitting team that can score. I like how they bounced back and won a Game 6 on the road. I'm really rooting for them on Tuesday - if they win, I'm wondering what NBC is going to do without Detroit in the playoffs.
